History
Humans are the only thing consistent in this universe. When writing things started to happen, humans were all over the globe, aside from the Grand Line. It took thousands of ships and hundreds of thousands of deaths before humans realized there are only 4 collective ways that lead into the Grand Line. Before people were able to cross into the Grand Line there were thousands of tiny kingdoms and villages, that were slowly organized by a hopeful team. The team made something called The World Government, in hopes it would be able to help all across the world. Long past the original team is the modern world government, which does protect against unatural threats. It isn't so much of a government as a global protection agency that you pay taxes to(Just like what people originally wanted the US to be). The World Government is the main driving force of the human race.
Historical Figures
Gruebra Obis - The most recent pirate king. He went to the end of the Grand Line and is said to have found the home of gods. After preperation he entered what he called the Home of gods and immediatly died due to some unseen killers(possibly the gods).
