Galadrin & Hiikahra

Galadrin, the General of the Ulvarian Empire, before being sent out to investigate the missing merchant fleets in the southern seas, he meets with his wife and promises his return. She begs him not to go but he cannot deny his duty. In his absence, she takes his seat as the general of the remaining Ulvarian forces. Mostly air and land-bound units. After he does not return Hiikahra is sent out with her forces to meet a new problem of undead breaching their empire from the west sea. When she arrives, she is met by the undead version of her husband and she fights him in a great battle before he wounds her gravely. She is taken back against her demands to the capital while her forces continue to fight the undead war. Suddenly without any warning, the war ends and the undead seemingly disappear without a trace. After healing, Hiikahra takes an elite aerial force to find out what became of her lost husband. She travels to the end of the world and into the world maelstrom to find him. Once she finally does, he welcomes her to his new realm, she asks for him to return but he denies her, she begs to join him to a point of even trying to take her own life but he denies her of that as well. He forbids her to enter the realm of death and completes the act by removing her soul and storing it in his lantern. A battle ensues, in which she is filled with rage and seeks to force him to return to the land of the living but he fights against her to uphold his duty and keep the balance above all other things. Soulless she gains new power and binds all the souls of her men to her, incapable of filling the void therein. Her men become unable to be killed, and manage to capture some of Galadrin's soul guides and keeps one of them on each of their airships. As her last act, Hiikahra cuts out Galadrin's heart as he has done to her, then she retreats back to Ulvaria. Galadrin, no longer capable of feeling emotions finds his duty even easier to carry out and cares less for the woes of the world, but more for maintaining balance. Hiikahra having lost her soul treads the opposite side of the spectrum, acting purely off of emotion and personal reason but not feeling any sort of attachment with good or evil, or the natural balance of things. They are doomed to meet again at the ending of Vodac, over and over again. Galadrin as the heart of duty, and Hiikahra as the soul of emotion.
