The Bright Moon

"Little is known about our cosmic mother. Some say she walks among us, others she watches over us, in both ways we are bathed in her moonlight. Her tempo is ours to follow, her rhythm dictates our lives, her joyous chorus our greatest exaltation. " -Cleric Obed Hejda of The Bright Moon     Few deities are as mysterious as The Bright Moon. The Patron Goddess of Music and Night, it is said she has always existed, and that her inevitability is only equaled by Death.   Most Followers of The Bright Moon were born into her Temples, and indeed The Temples of The Bright Moon are responsible for many of the Orphanages and caretaking services of Fortur beyond The Golden Chantry of Corfae.   Followers of The Bright Moon are often drawn to the night, and to the ocean. Moondrops (as they are called) will often find themselves called by beautiful music they cannot quite describe to head to the wilderness at night or to set sail into the deep blues. This divine song is proof to Moondrops that their goddess is real, and watching.   Many Followers of The Bright Moon are great Bards, hoping to echo The Songs of Creation and Destruction The Goddess weaves within them.

Tenets of Faith

The Moon Shines At Midnight above all Children: All living beings, even those who aren't Moondrops, are children of The Bright Moon and deserving of dignity.     The purest chord needs not to be tempered, it's melody sounds sweetest in absentia: We are not masters of our world, some things belong to Fortur itself and are not to be understood nor tamed.     The Night Sky is not a canvas, but a symphony of Starlight: No one person is as strong, nor as happy, as many together.     The Material and Ethereal Weave a Beautiful Harmony: The Song of Creation guides us all in the creation of Magic. It's harmony is meant to be practiced and taught.     The Anarchic and Ordinate Strike a Sorrowful Dissonance: The Song of Destruction is not to be feared, it culls the oppressors of our world.

Worship

The Brightmoon is worshipped in many ways by many different Moondrops.    The Largest and Eldest known organized Church of The Brightmoon is The Moon Shrine in Natar. Tended to by Elven Clerics who have studied the Prophecies and Teaching of Luna The Brightmoon for centuries, under the leadership of Grand Cleric Obed Hejda.     Luna The Brightmoon is The Most Popular Goddess in The Uruk Lands, though they have no recognized official religion by their Tribal Government. Many Uruk People's believe their Oknell is the Goddess embodied in flesh.     All followers generally share many practices, such as Holding Worship Ceremonies at Night involving Musical Performance and communal Singing.

Political Influence & Intrigue

The most popular god amongst The Uruk Tribes of Uruk-Nath, many amongst The Uruk peoples believe that The Bright Moon is physically embodied in their ruler: Oknell-Rey. Many Uruk swear to this, that Luna The Bright Moon and Oknell-Rey are one in the same: A Goddess made flesh.  Elven Clerics in The Brightmoon's largest organized Chantry (That of The Moon Shrine in Natar) dispute these claims as heresy, but it is of great dispute to third-parties.
