Caelan The Bold

The Lawful good God of The hunt, of Rangers, and of The Spring.     It is said that long ago Caelan The Bold was an elven ranger who roamed the lands as an adventurous hero, protecting the weak and slaying the evils of the world. One day, when Caelan had reached a great age, he encountered a crossing in the road which was guarded by a thousand monsters. They had all congregated together, to seek vengeance on Caelan for the slaying of their dark rulers. "Are you here for only me?" Caelan asked the hordes   "We have come for your head." they replied   "Then so be it, but I will not have harm come to the villages here under my protection, no matter how poor my chances, i will stand for them." Caelan shouted back as he so boldly charged into an impossible fight.   The Ranger fell that day, of course, but the spirit of his valor protected the lands he swore to, and so it was seen that he was no longer a mere ranger but a God in his own Right.

Structure

Churches of Caelan The Bold will usually have ceremonial hunts of evil beasts that threaten settlements. They will often run Guild Halls for young adventurers first setting out on their journey: setting bounties and offering guidance and lodging.

Culture

Caels come from all places and races, but are most commonly found among the common people who worship heroism. Caels value bravery and sacrifice.

Tenets of Faith

Kindness is a duty we have not only to our friends, but our enemies - Being merciful is a duty we all share   Vous rêvez tous (Translated from Elven: Adventure is a call heard beyond kind, kin, or age) - Enable all whom you can to do good in the world and discover new good they might be capable of   Defend the gifts of The Mother, so new seeds may grow - Our duty to nature is not only for ourselves, but for our children   The enemy of honor is pride - Be humble, and be not afraid to sacrifice the personal good for the good of the many   Grands Temp, Nou Sommes Dignes (Translated from Elven: Great Times will come when least expected, yet we are always surrounded by Worthy People) - It is a heroes duty to foster the next generation of heroes   Virtue is kept through resilience - To Die for the principles of that which is good and righteous, is always nobler than to live while compromising your values   Noblisse Oblige (Translated from Elven: The Obligation of The Noble Ones) - It is the duty of those with power to act with generosity and nobility toward those less privileged.
