On The Road to Phandelver

Our group initially consisted of just Alden, Carnak, Mairon, and myself (Elbon). While meeting up for the first time we were almost immediately approached by a citizen named Gundren Rockseeker. Needing to earn some money and eager for some adventure, the group has agreed to transport a wagon of supplies and provisions to Phandalin at his request (Gundren Rockseeker's) for the promise of 10G each once the delivery is successfully made.
While on Triboar Trail, we were halted by two dead horses in the middle of the road which we discerned to have belonged to Gundren and Sildar Hallwinter, who had gone ahead of our group. The horses had been killed with Goblin arrows, and we, too, were then attacked by what turned out to be two Goblin archers and two Goblin warriors with rusty scimitars.
We were successful in defending ourselves killing three of the Goblins with one of the archers taking to flight. The escaping Goblin archer ran smack into a Wood Elf named Theron, who agreed to join us and helped us subdue and question the archer in order to get information.
Upon learning the Cragmaw Goblin hideout was nearby, and that Gundren and Sildar had been taken there, the decision was made to hide our supply wagon and rescue the captives.
Upon arrival, we were attacked outside by two Goblin archers who were standing guard and which we defeated. In the mouth of the cave, we befriended and released three wolves. We also crossed paths with another lookout which we neutralized.
In the first room, we encountered three more Goblin warriors which we put out of their misery, and then stumbled upon a storage room occupied by one lower Goblin warrier and one higher Goblin warrior, a wolf, and the commander Bugbear, Klarg.
We destroyed all but Klarg who escaped through a trash shoot, and then returned with five other Goblin warriors – two of which came up the shoot, and three that came in with him at the door trapping us in the storage room.
We were finally able to vanquish all six foes, and proceed to the last room of the cave. There we found three Goblin warriors holding Knight Hallwinter captive. With some questioning, they informed us that Gundren had been taken to King Grol, and that they would release Sildar Hallwinter to us if we let them flee with their lives.
We agreed to do so.
Emptying the storage room of all supplies and provisions (which were marked with seals letting us know they had been intended for or taken from Phandalin), we set out to complete our original mission.
Our adventure concluded as we safely reached our hidden supply cart destined for Phandalin.
