We returned to Phandalin and took rest in the barn of Roscoe’s Aunt Qelline. In the morning, we split up into two groups in order to run errands. Alden, Carnak, and Mairon went to the Miner’s Exchange to do some selling - including the letter from Glassstaff’s desk - to Halia Thornton. They also visited Lionshield Coster, and Sister Garaele at the Shrine of Luck. They then proceeded to Barthen's Provisions to meet up with Elbon and Roscoe. During this time, Elbon and Roscoe had visited with Sildar Hallwinter at the Stonehill Inn in an effort to get him to join forces with the group. Knight Hallwinter declined due to his lack of armor and his age. At this time, Sildar also offered a reward to the group if we recovered his armor.
After doing some more selling at the mercantile as a group, we proceeded as one unit to the Old Owl Well Ruins via the Triboar Trail. We were accompanied by our new friend the pseudo-dragon with whom Alden and Elbon are sharing provisions.
We were attacked each of our three days on the trail. The first day, we were attacked by a band of four Goblins. We defeated them taking the last one prisoner, but getting no information out of him. We then allowed him to flee. Each of the next two days we were attacked by creatures that were even larger and harder to defeat than the Bugbears. However, we were able to defeat both groups each day. Due to the brutality of our fights, we were forced to take full rest breaks for healing and regeneration.
We left this session’s adventure as we started to trek east across the ruins and then north – coming upon six unknown creatures which we will deal with at the beginning of our next session. In that session, we fully expect to come to our greatest adventure and battle to date.
Alden has all the coinage we looted...we will count and divide it all later!
