Syznipol
The Syznipol is Cohrn for "Syzni-flatlands". It is a very rocky and unfertile region. It has many big boulders that were flung by the Syzni. Civilization did not see any instance of that occurring. Only the biggest eruption in 1120 av the Syzni has flung such boulders to the edge of the crater. The Syznipol is sparsely vegetated and not very fertile. But in the boulders and the ground are alot of natural resources.
The cities in ancient times in this area were smaller compared to cities in different regions due to the unfertile ground. But those often had better defenses made from stone. Nowadays the cities are almost bigger. With trade lost the unfertile ground its relevance and the heavy steam machinery and constructions need alot of the natural resources found under the ground. That pushed the cities and their relevance and the cities grew massively.
