Bedonia- Coria

City History, Culture, Trade and Description   The city of Coria was founded by Kaston in the aftermath of the Bedoin Rebellion. He built the city as a crowning achevment of the Bedoines, proving that they too had the capacity for greatness, and assuring their place as the predominint power on the continent. The city itself is incredibly wealthy, and is the center of knowlege in the region, with The Institute assuring its importence as one of the greatest centers for learning in the world.   Important Characters   High Sultan Squall- a water genasi with dark blue skin and stormy grey eyes, with black ink tatoos covering his entire body depicting a raging storm. He is wearing black and silver robes, and a deep sea green turban with golden feathers adorning it. Speaks with a low, rumbling voice.   Captain of Royal Guard- a bedoine woman named Farah, hair shaved on the sides with a long braid down her back, has a stern beauty.   Vizeer Hamid- an old bedoine man, with a sun spotted bald head and a very long white beard, eternally squinting. He is a powerful sorcerer, and does not get along well with Drift.   Archavist Drift- a female air genasi, with pale blue skin and white, almost translucent hair that drifts around her shoulders. She is the head of the institute, and is a very accomplished and well respected Arch Mage, close friends with Ordinan.       Local Quests   Factions   Notable Buildings And Districts   the Tempest Palace- seat of power for the Squall Dynasty   The Mordenkainen Institute- Mordenkainen, one of only 2 survivors after the circle of eight engaged Vecna, escaped to Bedonia and spent many years in exile, recovering from his grievous wounds. After Vecnas defeat, he led a faction who sought to take out the remaining influence he had in Bedonia. In the end he challenged Mirithar the inquisitive, and they destroyed each other, neither to be seen again. The Institute was created from Mordinkainens personal library in his memory, and has the largest collection of books and arcane material in the world.   Trade district/center square   Solar Quarter- residential   Shops   Armorer/blacksmith- a workshop on the south side of the trade district, selling Bedonie styled armors and weapons. It is run by a Bedonie man named Jamal. Jamal is a large and stong man, with shaggy unkept black hair and friendly eyes and a barrel chested voice.   Kymir's Fortune's- a small enclosed tent just outside the eastern gate, but expands to be much larger on the inside. Kymir is a male, middle aged red teifling with dark horns that curl behind his head, and a large tail. He was a follower of the Kasian order, but was kicked out for stealing. He specializes in appraising items, and procuring magical artifacts, as well as reading fortunes.   Mordinkinens Institute- magical artifacts can be appraised and occasionally purchased from the institute, as well as limited potions made by students, but only for individuals who have a reputable standing with them.   Healing and potions- a tent outside the city can sometimes be found, often near Kymir's. It belongs to Edge of World (or Edge), a young male tabaxi. He has soft golden hair, black ears and silver eyes. He travels back and forth from his clan (Lone Wanderers) to this city, selling potions and natural ointments. When he is not here, Kymir has often bought some of his stock. The two of them are close friends, both being outcasts from the city.   General store- a large supply store, catering to adventurers and explorers who search the desert for magical artifacts. It is run by a half elf named Destrian. He has short, curled, auburn hair, brown eyes, and rough, eternally sunburned skin. He moved here from the Dominion looking for business prospects, which he has succeeded greatly, but still isn't sure if the money is worth the heat and sun.   The Begger and Tanker- a very large and bustling tavern on the west side of the city. Its owner, Ulric, is an older male human with greying hair and a large bushy beard, with a sunburnt and sweaty forehead. Ulric is a self made man, who originally moved here from the seafaring states with nothing but a tankard and his own determination to do something with his life.   Tailor   Other NPC’s   Mithanmyr- a soft spoken elvish women, tall and slender. She works at the front desk for the institutes library.   Akan clan Metalbreaker- an older dwarf with greying hair, very thick spectacles, and a dark blue robe. One of the more senior members of the institute and helps look for more obscure materials, as well as deals with the more dangerous tomes and magical items that are housed here.   Wisps in the Wind- a young teenaged tabaxi, with soft brown fur and a large burn scar along the side of his face. He was found abandoned and given to the institute at a young age, and now serves as one of the many assistants. His dream is to one day become a powerful mage, but he has prove to not be talented in the arcane arts.   Professor Steam- a child of a water and fire genasi, he has light green skin with dark orange swirling patterns across his arms, which almost mimic flames, fiery orange hair and color shifting eyes (sometimes, orange, sometimes blue). His personality is one of contradiction and abrupt changes, going from angry or passionate outburst to cool collected and soft spoken with little or no transition between, and very little realization on his part of his abrupt demeanor changes.
