Climate in Entrelai

The lands of Entrelai are said to be blesed by its geography and weather. The territories which the kingdom has claimed as it own, sit in a valley between a dense mountain range, called The Mountains of Last Passing and the sea.

Climate in the Entrelai valleys

In main valley, the weather is very stable, without any extreme temperatures, at any point during the year. The rain is distributed almost equally, all year around, as well. Even when they are more frequent, during the Early sowing months. And less during the Community months, which also happen to be the coldest.   Temperatures are temperate enough to wear light clothing or even show skin during most of Early sowing and Late sowing months. During the Abundance months, showing sking can become dangerous if the sun is high in the sky, causing irritation and burning in the skin. Light vestment are recomended, specially flax. As they are keep you cool and the dry quickly, if you are caught in a one of light rain spells common during this seasons.   The rain, normally happen in spells, which come and go during the day. This could happen almost every day during the Early sowing and Late sowing months. But they are less frequent on the Abundance, as they happen only every 3 or 4 days. The season, when they only happen less frequently is Community, when they are only a weekly ocurrence.   The rain spells, normally come from the direction of The Frontier Forest and move towards the Mountain of last passing. It is a well know phenomena, that areas, which are closest to the rivers, will received more rain spells, that those which are not. Any alteration from this pattern is higly unusual and it is normally consider a bad omen.   There is a popular rumour, which pinpoint the origin of most of this storms, to the The unreachable mountain of rivers. This rumour grows more popular, the closer the village is to the mountains, but to the more serious scolars in the capital, this is believed to be a misconception added to the mountain lore due to its unreachable conditions. They theorize the storms comes from the sea, thought the forest.

Climate in the The Frontier Forest

In contrast with the rest of Entrelai , the weather inside the forest transition to a purely tropical weather, without any real seasons. Warn temperatures are present all year around, around the same as you can find in the Abundance months in the rest of the valley. Rainfall is daily, sometimes multiple times a day. When it is not raining, a mist easly can envelpe the forest.   This tropical pattern become more pronounced the deper you get into the forest. In the outskirts, where the red-wood settlement, it is barely noticable. There is some seasonality, even when the winters are very mild and the precipitations are more abundant. But the few records from the inner forest, indicates even higher temperatures and a constant drizle which saturates the atmosfere, when it is not actively raining.   The storm which bring the daily rains, always come from the inner forest and move outwards, both towards the sea and toward the outiside valley, but they normally disipate before reaching the end of the forest.

Climate in the peninsula

The weather in the peninsula is similar to the one in the valley, but it is considerably more irregular. With sligly more pronounced seasons and a less regular rain pattern. The sea which surround this peninsula, make the Community season still mild, with freezing temperature being rare and normally only occuring during the coldest nights of the season, but they are colder than in the valley. The temperatures start to rise high enought for people to start wearing light clothes during the day, by the middle of the Early sowing season. But by the end of the season, temperatures are already higher that in the valley. The Abundance season is warmer that in the valley, specially in the areas of the peninsula which are not in direct contact with the sea.   In Serene, since the city is at the sea level and has The Frontier Forest nearby, the temperatures are very similar to the ones in the valey in the Community months but sliglty warmer for most of the rest of the year, which is the reason, for this city becoming a holiday destination for healthy people.
