Cult of the Dragon: Lost Tome

The Cult of the Dragon is an organization that was founded on the idea that at the end of the world Draco-liches will rule to the world, and seeks to actively create Draco-liches to cause this new ae to begin and have themselves as major pieces in this new world.   Sub Faction: Lost Tome   This faction seeks the rise of Ancalagon through a ritual in the Whale Bones Isles. On a secluded island, they seek to use an Orb of Dragon kind, 1,000 slaves, 10,000 pp worth of treasure, and the Bones of an ancient dragon to restore Analagon's Avatar to the world whereupon further destruction his avatar will grow to further destroy all that stand before his and reckon a new age of the dragon and death. The organization has less than 50 core members who actively participate and were promised rewards, and should the organization begin to fall apart and its key member is killed, their power shall dwindle and ability to perform the ritual diminish, but not be halted unless as a key member are killed, in which case the organization will collapse due to lack of leadership and infighting. However, if this occurs, the threat of Ancalagon will not be truly removed, but nearly delayed until others rise.   This faction of the cult, headed by Remus and Elanora Nox. Both Vampires, seek to begin this new age with the return of the mighty Ancalagon in contrast to that of Tiamat. Ancalagon has promised them power and position in the ruins of his return, and a place at his table. the remainder of their cult follows them in their goal to return Ancalgon in some form to the world and claim the power they believe they deserve. They also sometimes collect the more attractive females to be prostitutes to earn additional income and further their goals   subsequent key members are as follows:   Bronnor Green- Captain of the green-drake, he manages the slave trade across the continent for the cult. He and his small fleet of 6 airships transport slaves discreetly between key locations across the continent from Xaruks port to their final location. Bronner originates from Osse, it is from here the airships powered by Sordalite are from. He also makes port in Halruaa using the cover of trading between Eveermeet and Shou-Lung and is where he and his men can go for parts and supplies once free of slaves. The fleet consists of 3 shoal trade barges, 2 Sintel light cruisers, stripped of cannons and 1 Kraken class frigate, the Greendrake fully equiped. Bronner serves Remus and Elenora as their personal assistant when on land, but as Admiral when in the sky. Due to the success of the fleet, he does not often need to be in the sky, and is often better served managing the fleet from the ground and informing the leaders of the cult's progress and managing it. He maintains the cover of their personal Butler so he can manage business in their name and have access to their accounts and sign in their name. This way Bronnor Manages the operations paperwork and serves as the administrative head of the Cult.   Chanterelle Zinthana (Half-elf) F- the Spymaster of the organization, currently posing as spymaster for the lord of Neverwinter, but secretly funneling supplies, money, and power to the cause of the cult. She currently has the master rouge, Big Ed, under her control and uses him as protection and assistant in her actions. Chandrelle was promised a quiet life where her services would no longer be required and she could focus on trade and economics without the need for worry about espionage.   Vultog (Orc) M- A Warchief in the Orc Horde, he currently aides the cult through the capture of slaves and keeping of unrest in the North. He currently resides in Grunwald, on the western tip of the Lurkwood commanding a force of 1,500 orcs. He was promised a massive horde that like him would travel the world to raid, pillage and rape everthing.   Gribs (Goblin) M- Girb's is part of the raiding group that transports and acquires goods and treasure. Grib is in charge of learning about secret loot from travelers, transporting loot and money to secret storages. He is allowed to skim off of the profit he creates for his own benefit, as long as he delivers a majority of what is promised. Gribs sits as one of the wealthiest goblins in Faerun, but constantly is anxious about betrayal, and so prefers to hide out in sectretive locations that his growing horde of goblin raiders can go to drop off loot, but never really take. For this, he prefers dwarven strongholds as secret vault locations to store wealth. He is always looking for new vault locations and forts to secure his power and position in the organization and amongst his fellow goblins to show their superiority over hobgoblins when in numbers and with the right leadership. He was promised the ability to rule over a kingdom of goblins, and that Ancalgon would punish all hobgoblins would be the only goblins left.   Xauruk (Ogre) M Xauruk leads the slave port along the Northern Means road. Off of a secret path north of Luskan along the river lies the port of Xaruk. Created by him he collects, sells, and uses slaves for personal use as for the cult. He leads a few hundred orcs and goblins in an open slave trade with northern raiders, eastern Thay slave traders, and all others. The Goblins and Orcs have accepted the presence of other races. If any break the rules however let's just say nothing will remain of them, not even their bones. He was promised to be a master of slaves under Ancalagon     Cade High-hill (Halfling) M Garret High-hill (Halfling) M- these twin halflings own a string of taverns across the sword coast. They use their position to use adventurers and travelers to gather rare objects, fulfill quests and unwittingly do the bidding of the cult. They seem to have no malintent and only really seek further profit and see the cult as a way to further their business across the realm. Their importance to the cult is the management of adventurers, information gathering, and safe houses when in need of emergency. Ancalagon promised them that his wrath would not come to halflings and that he would show mercy before some of them in exchange for their service. They indirectly work with Gribs by helping to maintain stability between adventurers and monsters on the side of good.   Chaszatar Zauval (Drow) F Chaszatar Zauval is a drow matriarch who manages the transportation of slaves across the network to Vultog in the Icewind dale for labor and profit. Chaszatar also takes some of these prisoners down into the Underdark for her House as a part of her personal market. The house of Zauval serves as one of the major slave trader houses of the drow and competes in the northern part of the sword coast. She currently resides in the drow city of Menzoberranzan but occasionally makes trips to Grunwald to check on Vultog and his progress in acquiring slaves. Chaszatar was promised by Ancalagon that he would burn the elven forests and cities of the surface and that the drow would be allowed to claim the ruins.     Ancalagon- The Diety of this cult serves as the icon and promise of what each member desires. Unbeknownst to each major member of the organization analogon has given each half-truth and intends to betray each individual promise like a genie would, by manipulating what was promised for his own gain and the gain of dragon society.
Notable members of the Followers of the Forgotten include Remus and Eleanor Nox, who champion the slaver organization in an attempt to queasily gain sacrifices to summon ancalagon, their cell includes Vultog (orc,M) who is a lower member/informant who supports them among the orc organizations and helps create chaos and new slaves. Gribs the Goblin helps by capturing and raiding traders providing more people and money for the organizations efforts. Xaruk the Ogre stands as another enforcer for the organization and informant in the wilds looking for treasure and powerful allies in their efforts. Cade and Garret Highhill, are two halflings that host a tavern that captures travelers and serves as a way station for potential recruits and members of their organization, to hide their activities and as a central information hub for the cells aggressive activities. Chandrelle Zinthana joined the organization for access to the underworld and serves as the groups spymaster and information gathering. She oversees the organizations effort for Remus and Ellanora when they do not wish to step in, as a cover for her activities she serves as the Lord of Neverwinter Spymaster to hide her activities and further her goals. In light of the parties recent actions against her and the cell, she is sending out information to warn the others against dangers and preparing for the organization to go further underground if necessary, their role in gathering funds, and sacrifices for the ritual can not be impeded, but also must remain secret. As she recovers from the parties actions, she is glad she kept her calm and did not revel vital information, all that she hopes now is that Remus and Eleanora can deal with these pests and the cell can resume their activities.
The Divide
Since the Sundering, the organization has largely been divided with many branches seeking their own goals and attempting to become the main faction and fulfill their purpose, one of the more notable factions include one attempting to return Tiamat to the material plane, and another similar but mysterious faction that seeks to return an even ancient and potentially greater power, by returning the Dragon Ancalagon to the mortal realm. They are called the Followers of the Forgotten Tome, a reference to a supposedly lost piece of the cult's founding which mention Ancalagon, and puts the teachings of the remaining texts into question and claiming that Draco riches are not the true power, but a means to an end in a world already destroyed and ruined by Ancalagon and his followers.
