Emerald Enclave

The Emerald Enclave

"The balance of nature is the balance of all things. Tip it too far - and even the gods will bleed."

Overview

The Emerald Enclave is a loose but powerful coalition of druids, rangers, and nature wardens who safeguard the natural order from rampant civilization, planar corruption, and necromantic decay. Its members are scattered across Faerun, from the deepest jungles to coastal towns like Saltmarsh, quietly maintaining balance where kingdoms fail to see it.   In the wake of the Necromancer's rise and the corruption spreading across the Sword Coast, the Enclave has grown restless. Many see the Saltmarsh Adventurers as potential allies - or instruments - in restoring equilibrium between land, sea, and the elemental forces at war.   Their philosophy is simple, but absolute:   "When nature falters, so does all life. The Enclave does not conquer - it corrects."

Goals of the Emerald Enclave

Preserve the natural balance between civilization and the wild. Contain or destroy unnatural corruption including undead, aberrations, and planar blight. Protect isolated communities living in harmony with nature. Destroy those who would enslave the land for greed or power. Guide mortals to coexist rather than dominate.   Members often work alone or in small circles, answering the call of High Druids through dreams, rituals, or animal messengers.

Hierarchy and Ranks

The Emerald Enclave is not bound by strict command, but by a hierarchy of wisdom and deed. Advancement comes through acts that preserve natural order, not through politics or power.

Structure and Circles

While all members serve the same cause, the Enclave's strength lies in its circles - semi-independent groups that guard specific regions.   Major Circles Circle of the Tall Trees - Guardians of Thundertree and the Neverwinter Wood. Closest Enclave presence to Saltmarsh.   Circle of the Last Root - Ancient order bound to Moonglade Hollow, restoring harmony between sea and land. Alfhild's lineage traces here.   Circle of Verdant Renewal - Monastic druids of the High Forest, known for elemental purification.   Circle of the Rising Gale - Skybound rangers and air elementalists of the northern cliffs, watchers of storms.   Circle of the Everbloom - Hybrid circle formed in Turlang's Wood after the Everbloom Core was awakened.

To join, one must take the Vow of Renewal:   "The wind remembers. The earth forgives. The flame consumes so that life may return. I am but one root among many - And I shall never let the wild go silent."   A druidic mentor brands the initiate's palm or staff with a living sigil - a vine or rune that glows faintly when corruption is near.
