Rift
5th level Conjuration
Components: V, S, M (a body part of a creature native to the destination plane)
Casting time: 1 action
Duration: Instantaneous
Using Eldritch forces you don't entirely comprehend, you tear a rift in space. This jagged wound in reality allows for interplanar travel as the plane shift spell, but at great cost. The caster takes one level of exhaustion. Those who travel with caster take one level of exhaustion, and if they fail a DC 17 Con save, take an additional level of exhaustion. Followers of Tharizdun and fiends are immune to this damage.
You can use this spell to banish an unwilling creature to another plane. Choose a creature within your reach and make a melee spell attack against it. On a hit, the creature must make a Charisma saving throw. If the creature fails the save, it is transported to a random location on the plane of existence you specify, taking 2 levels of exhaustion in the process. A creature so transported must find its own way back to your current plane of existence.
