A tarot card is drawn from a deck and flashes in the air, targeting a single creature you can see. Roll a d4 to determine the effect.

  1. (Wands): A bolt of magic energy shoots from the card. The target makes a Dexterity saving throw. On a failure, they take 1d10 force damage and is stunned until the start of their next turn. On a success, the target takes half damage and is not stunned.
  2. (Cups): A wave of force overflows from the cup. The target makes a Constitution saving throw. On a failure, they take 1d10 radiant damage and you gain hp equal to the damage dealt. On a success, the target takes half damage and no healing is granted.
  3. (Coins): Two sides of the same coin shoot out and hit both the target creature and the caster. Both you and the creature take 3d10 necrotic damage (Constitution saving throw for half damage).
  4. (Swords): A circle of blades spins from the card through the target, dealing 3d10 slashing damage (Dexterity saving throw for half damage).
At Higher Levels: When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 3rd Level or higher, you can target an additional creature for each spell slot above 2nd. All targets must be within 30 feet of each other.
