Ballad of the Frozen Trail

This is a ballad of the travling Kender Bard Tillo Lightfoot , who for a time walked the roads and trails of Faerûn, far from his home on Krynn. This was written after a battle between some bandits and his friends the Heros of the North in 1489 DR (Dale Reckoning) The Year of the Warrior Princess.

Ballad of the Frozen Trail

(Verse 1)
In Icewind Dale at dawn’s first light, Heroes rose, hearts bound to fight. Southward bound through fields and glen, Absent friend, in their thoughts again.
  (Chorus)
Oh, sing of the road where wild magics flare, Under starlit skies, the brave and the fair. With fire and sword, they stand side by side, Guardians of the North, with nothing to hide.
  (Verse 2)
At the livery, Ulee bargained well, For a steed that in legends they’ll tell. Faelynn knelt where the sacred lights gleam, Praying for guidance in a world unseen.
  (Verse 3)
Piña’s plans, sharp as her blade, Tillo's errands in the market made. Alt’s warhorse, proud and grand,
Summoned forth by a paladin’s command.
  (Chorus)
Oh, sing of the road where wild magics flare, Under starlit skies, the brave and the fair. With fire and sword, they stand side by side, Guardians of the North, with nothing to hide.
  (Bridge)
When darkness fell, the fireball flew, Struck our heroes, as the danger grew. The wagon aflame, the children cried, But from little Aliana, the magic did bide.
  (Verse 4)
A surge of power, wild and strong, Knocked them down, but not for long. Heroes rallied with bucket and spell, To save the innocents and quell the hell.
  (Chorus)
Oh, sing of the road where wild magics flare, Under starlit skies, the brave and the fair. With fire and sword, they stand side by side, Guardians of the North, with nothing to hide.
  (Outro)
Now rest by the fire, with tales anew, Of a night when the wild magic flew. In the heart of the Dale, under stars so bright, Heroes keep watch, guarding the night.
