The White Hammers

Led by the ambitious and charismatic Thrum the White Hammer this is one of the most prestigious mercenary organizations in the land. Members themselves are seen as elite Adventurers, most having come through a grueling process to gain entry into the Hammers. For those candidates who do survive, the The membership dues are quite steep. But but the opportunities afforded members is more than enough to offset the cost.   The Hammers focus is typical of a mercenary company. Dealing with other mercenaries, raiders, and rogue monsters. They also provide security when appropriate for both long and short term engagements. A very unusual feature of the Hammers is their retrieval business, wherein requests are placed by clients to retrieve various objects no questions asked. This has garnered the Hammers an adversarial reputation with other organizations (Particularly the Owls and the Silver Shields ).   Members of the Hammers carry a reputation for being blunt, loud, and starting trouble wherever they are doing business. Which at face value would suggest their reputation should be tarnished. Instead the populace seems to think of them as larger than life people brave enough to make a living by the sword.

Structure

The Hammers are officially led by Thurm the White Hammer. Officially there are three former adventurers known as the board beneath Thurms serving as his advisors. The Deacon of Sol, Cazzilbright Fountwhorthy, and Creedi Sohlin serve as the official and publicly known board members. Unofficially the board has non-permanent voting members from the The Five Caravans Merchants guild and other organizations whose interests converge with those of the Hammers.

Public Agenda

The Hammers have a reputation as heroic knights to some, and sellswords to others. Their work often involves combat and places them in close partnership with the Adventurers Guilds. They are seen as a professional solution to the many dangers of the world, particularly in their two areas of experience, bandits and monsters.
