Imperial Stationery

The Imperial Family has reserved, by law and custom, a distinctive design for its personal stationery. It is well known throughout the Imperium because of its use for routine messages as well as for Imperial Edicts and Letters Patent. The document itself is cream-colored and ambossed with the Imperial Sunburst in gold. It incorporates watermarks and other technological security features. There are physical and electronic versions of the stationery.
Because it is used for Edicts, and letters patent, all Imperial officials are very familiar with the design and are more able to spot forgeries. Electronic versions are digitally signed making electronic forgeries almost impossible.
