The Shattergloom Expanse: For centuries, the Shattergloom Expanse served as a fragment of the Abyss, ruled by Zarkuth the Unmaker, a demon lord of entropy and despair. This era ended abruptly in 1140 DR when Alaric Fontaine, a renowned archmage, discovered the demon lord’s plans to use the demiplane as a staging ground for an invasion of Faerûn.
