Svartalfheim

Svartalfheim

The land of all dwarves, the best crafters and miners in the nine realms. Svartalfheim was invaded by the Dark Elves ages ago and they now rule over the Dwarves. This realm is the source of the magical metal called Morkjarn or Dark Iron.

Geology

There are many rocky crags, caves and mountain valleys in Svartalfheim. Thick forests lie between sharp and jagged outcroppings and gashes in the earth.

Ecology

Most creatures here live off of the nutrition in the forest above, between crags. The ones who do not get their energy from the forest obtain it through magic, slime and gases within the ground.

Flora

Lichens, moss, mushrooms, trees, grass, vines, shrubs and bushes.

Fauna

Giant bugs, trolls, gnolls, cave fish and eels.

Inhabitants

Dark Elf the ruling class in Svartalfheim. Light Dwarf make their homes in the ground and above it in Svartalfheim. Dark Dwarf can be found in the deepest parts of the realm.

Tip

The above-ground world of Svartalfheim is a dangerous and barren place, craggy and rocky and full of hostile Dark Elves. The under-realm, beneath the caves, is even more dangerous, and very dark. Bring a light or be prepared to cast magic if you don't have a source.
