Greentop

Greentop is a small hamlet/village of gnomes who hide from the outside world and live peaceful lives living off the bounties of the forest, and developing their crafts.
The village was founded about 170 years ago, before Folkvangr got overpopulated by humans. The founder is Always-Blue-Toes, a great and powerful Gnome who was born into great magical strength. He spends his time taming the mushrooms of the forest in the current day, but he was once a feared protector of the forest.
The village has a few community houses and huts and cultivates mushrooms as delicacies and magical ingredients. They keep the creatures called Cap-Backs and breed them for specific mushroom properties.
The village's main method of defense is stealth. Every day the strongest of the singers in the village performs a beautiful Galdr song to hide the village from detection. This method has been used since the creation of the village and Always-Blue-Toes was the first singer. His voice is too wobbly for the spell these days.
Many gnomes of the village long for adventure and the outside world, so they leave Greentop behind. Custom goes that the leaving individual must gift the hamlet something of great enough value to make up for their absence.
