Amaryllis Floris
The Rose Princess
Amaryllis Floris was born the Princess of Florere and lived a more or less happy and privleged life. However, as royalty, she was also expected to be perfect and make no mistakes, so it had its own kind of pressure. The people of Florere loved her. Not only was she was kind and just, but she was also just as good at politics and diplomacy as she was born to be. She was also considered to be one of the most beautiful people in the world, and with her ruby red hair earned herself the epithet the Rose Princess from the people of her nation. Her tiara was fashioned with a ruby in the shape of a rose in honour of her given moniker. Her kindness however, was betrayed by another noble who took advantege of her after she offered him temporary shelter, and when she fell pregnant from the encounter, her parents attempted to force her to marry him. Although she refused and no legal documents binded them in marriage, her parents, the King and Queen announced that it had happend, leading the country to believe that it was true, and that the child born would be the official heir to the throne.
Quade Zaryan, the man who had raped her, used his position as her presumed husband to every advantage that he could. He made arrangements with The Kian Family from Tonitruum to have the King, Queen, and Princess murdered. Amaryllis was able to escape along with the help of her personal gaurds Terrence Gwydion and Alira Marble. Alira stayed with Quade as a way to spy from the inside, but Terrence fled with the Princess. Terrence was the Princess's true romantic partner, and while on the run, they got officially married and started lives in a town called Alba Ross, where they had a son, Oleander Floris-Gwydion. Quade, as the presumed consort and father of the heir, Amaethon, was able to take temporary rule until his son came of age. Quade announced that the princess had died along with her parents, and ordered a small group of his troops to track and kill her, so that she couldn't reveal his schemes.
