Litcho

The litcho are a winged herbivore found in the Baleland region, primarily in the forests of the Strathwine or Brenzabia baronies.

Basic Information

Anatomy

A litcho is a quadruped avian species, with a round head, thin neck, triangular ears, and a long prehensile snout. It has four wings, two primary main wings for flight and two smaller ones set just back from the main ones that are used for tight navigation during flight or to assist with managing wind drafts while landing.   It is a quadruped with four, almost gazelle-like legs ( proportionate in size for its shape ), that end in webbed feet.

Genetics and Reproduction

The species is egg laying, producing up to six eggs every 14 month breeding cycle.

Dietary Needs and Habits

The Litcho are herbivores. While they primarily subsist off most species of freshwater plants, they sometimes eat the fruits from cherif trees.

Body Tint, Colouring and Marking
The litcho is covered in a fine down of feathers which look from a distance to resemble fur or hair. Feathers on the chest, face, and head are gray while the rest of its feathers are brown shot through with various patterns of chestnut or ginger bands of color.
