Session 72: The Wedding of Malcolm and Arget

General Summary

Belle's Funural

57th of Spirende 22nd year of the Second Era
Before leaving Fuen, The Regulators attended the funeral of Belle, the woman that Malcolm had to kill after discovering her life was extended by unnatural means. 
The party witnessed the reaper collecting the woman's soul, and observed the husband's behavior to ensure he would not attempt something similar again. 
They then returned to Anexa and settled in for the month. While waiting for the imminent arrival of their daughter, Malcolm and Arget prepared for their wedding. Tidgrud asked for leave to go to Boheim and make sure there would be sufficient security for the event. 
Zuko finished his hoverbike and began making plans with Malcolm to construct more of the bikes, a track, and recruit riders to create a new sport. Echo asked Sebastian Braun to introduce her at Frostbrewer Ophanage where she brought toys she purchased and spent time with the orphans. 

With Death Comes New Life

26th of Sommeren, 22nd year of the Second Era
The morning of the 26th of Sommeren Malcolm awoke to Arget breathing through strong and frequent contractions. Serenity flew them out to a grove in King's Woods where there was a natural hot spring. Kaylee and several other clerics magically soothed Arget as Kaylee guided her through the birthing process. Alara was born a few minutes later. 
As Malcolm held her he felt a sense of balance between the domain he championed, and life. When he brought Alara back to Serenity and introduced her to the rest of the party he felt Alaric's presence watching over him. 
A few days later Tidgrud returned and requested to speak with Malcolm. He congratulated Malcolm on becoming a father and assured him that Boheim was as secure as it could be. He then asked for Malcolm's permission to leave Arget Ethyn's service and join the Palhas Royal Army when they went to Hame. Malcolm agreed. 

They're Finally Getting Married. 

38th of Sommeren, 22nd year of the Second Era
Malcolm and Arget were married in the former Temple of the Black Star in Boheim to an overflowing audience of townsfolk. Zuko acted as Malcolm's best man, Ethed was Arget's Maid of honor, and Tidgrud took the ceremonial place of Arget's Father.  
After the ceremony, Arget and Malcolm were driven out to Aleric's former ranch where they would be living after Orcus is defeated, to bury a bottle of schnapps in the yard till their one year anniversary. Before they did, Arget admitted that she had hoped Malcolm would be home for good by the time they got married. Malcolm assured her the time would be soon. She manifested that by the time they dig up that bottle, their family would be together. 
As they were driven back to town at sundown, they found a path of light to the Bard's College at the towns center created by all of the townsfolk bearing torches on either side of the road. The reception was a wonderous celebration until it was interrupted by a group of Orcus cultists. Before The Regulators had an opportunity to respond, Arget killed the cult leader with one of Malcolm's old flintlocks, and the townsfolk swarmed and destroyed the remainder of the cult before returning to their celebration.
