Session 27: The Dragonborn, The Witch, and the Walking Hut

General Summary

As the battle began, Baba Yaga whistled toward her hut, which stood up from the ground before the witch's flying mortar flew out of the door; followed by two streams of dark green smoke which materialized into night hags. Meara slapped the horses to make them flee from the battle field, as she, Kaylee and Tidgrud took command of the battle on the ground.
Tidgrud was nearly killed by Baba Yaga, but was saved when meara came to his aid with a health potion, and gave him her Amulet of Wound Closure. Zuko dealt the fatal blow to Baba Yaga and Meara finished off the last Night Hag. As the ravine fell silent, the ground split open, with the familiar light of a Fae Realm portal. Baba Yaga's soul along with that of the house was dragged into the crevice before it sealed.
Gavin Searson told the party that it would be wise if they all kept the details of what happened secret, making it hard for anyone to know where Baba Yaga could be summoned back to the Mortal Realm. Tidgrud told Meara she was foolish to give such an important life saving artifact to someone in the twilight of his life, but was thankful nonetheless.
The party investigated the now lifeless and collapsing hut, finding an assortment of useful magical items, which Gavin reminded them may or may not be cursed, and rare herbs which Meara believed she could make use of. They also found a chest, surprisingly containing the reward the woman in the gorge promised was waiting for whomever would bring back the box that they now knew contained her iron teeth. Inside was 3000 gold worth of silver.
After stuffing the coin and magical items in the Wizard's Door with the intent of having Lord Ozin Lorimer identify any curses, the party set the hut on fire and watched till it burned to ashes.
