Session 19: The Deadliest Game

General Summary

1st of Wintercrest 22nd year of the Second Era
After the first round completed, The Regulators returned to the field to find the arctic wasteland replaced with an arid desert littered with giant crystals. Out of cave of amethyst crawled three giant flying scorpions, which the party once again destroyed with ease and progressed again. On the third round, the field was transformed into a hot and humid swamp.
Alaric chose to start this round hiding in a bush, realizing too late that that the enemies were already on the field. The Shambling mounds, plant creatures that resembled the surrounding fauna sprung to life, on of which hit Alaric and dragged him inside. Meara was also absorbed before the party had a chance to react. The battle proved more time consuming and dangerous than the previous two rounds. With only one left, Sebastian Braun was trapped inside for an extended period of time, eventually being crushed to death before Alaric managed to pull him out. Kaylee rushed to his side but quickly realized he was already dead.
When the battle was finished, the party agreed that Sebastian would want them to finish what they started. Meara demanded that the guards carrying Sebastian's body to the local temple of Nallula ensure that his body is preserved. She stated to the party that she was determined to have him resurrected. Kaylee's nervous excitement was replaced with silence and absentmindedness. When they returned to the field it was turned into an ancient forest with extremely large trees. Most of the party remained on the carpet of flying as Zuko and Meara remained on the ground. Two Tyrannosaurus Rex came onto the field, one picking up Zuko with it's mouth while the other quickly knocked Meara out with it's tail.
After the first T-Rex was killed Zuko was attacked again, this time losing consciousness. Kaylee, began to panic. Being assured that Meara was at no risk of dying due to her periapt of wound closure, Kaylee leaped more than 40 feet from the carpet and ran under the T-Rex to revive Zuko. Both were promptly rendered unconscious again and Zuko was swallowed before the final T-Rex was killed.
When the battle was complete, The three downed team members were revived. Alaric carried Kaylee off the field and they were all guided back to the manor attached to the Colosseum.
