Republic of Beckdon (Beck-dun)

Structure

The Republic of Beckdon is comprised of numerous semi-autonomous states that each elect a representative to form a council. The council decides on any disputes between the states, approves trade, and decides on any nationwide concerns such as war. Issues that do not extend past a state's borders are left largely to the jurisdiction of the state. While the upside of this system is generally a more fair and equal method of government, the cons include a much slower reaction time from Beckdon when times of crisis occur.
