    The Lunatics
There are multiple cults centered around Lunara and her various aspects, but perhaps the most fanatical are the "Lunatics." Eschewing other gods in favor of Lunara, the Lunatics hold Lunara's sway over intense emotion as her most important domain. Prone to fits of insanity and outbursts as forms of worship, Lunatics tend to be viewed as unwelcome and problematic. This has caused many sects of the cult to be more secretive in their affiliation, meeting in forests clearings away from others to worship. The sounds of these gatherings echoing through the woods on moonlit nights have led to more than one rumor of a haunted forest, claims the lunatics work to embellish. The ultimate act of worship for a lunatic is subjecting yourself to a process called "moon madness." The worshipper will go six days and five nights (132 hours) with no sleep, culminating on the night of a full moon. Should they succeed in their endeavor they then will stare into the moon in an attempt to see visions of Lunara's will. The dreams that follow such a process are believed to be so divine and powerful that most are incapable of remembering them.

    Holidays

The most holy day for Lunara is "The Bright Night," when both of Fioré's moons, Mani and Cerridwen, are full in the night sky. Conversely, when both are absent "The Darkest Night," it is said that she is blind to the world and her followers should take extra caution that night. Because of Mani and Cerridwen's vastly different orbits, these events are rare and looked to with much anticipation or dread, depending on the approaching night.
