Ffolús is a region of Mystara which, depending upon the time period, will be or has been preserved into the Hollow World by Ka the Preserver.
After the preservation, there is a strong magic that works along side the spell of preservation to keep the occupants of Ffolús unaware of their presence in the Hollow World. While the spell of preservation is strong, it is, on some level, interfering with the magic invoked by the mages. This leads to rare inconsistencies visible to the people of Ffolús. Because of the spell of preservation, most of these go unnoticed, but recently things have taken a turn for the worse.
