Dragonborn
Because of their history as defenders and protectors of dragons (who were believed to be creatures of raw power, creation and destruction, and blessed by primordial gods) Dragonborn are an extremely proud race. They know they were made by the dragons themselves, hatched from their own eggs, and thus see them as the gods of their own creation. However, even some rebel against their creators and born "duties." Those that travel the world are often met with fear or unease as beings of legend. Because of their disconnect from the rest of the world, most Dragonborn value their clan and people above all else.
Ability Score Increase: Your Strength score increases by 2, and your Charisma score increases by 1.
Age: Young dragonborn grow quickly. They walk hours after hatching, attain the size and development of a 10-year-old human child by the age of 3, and reach adulthood by 15. They live to be around 80.
Size: Dragonborn are taller and heavier than humans, standing well over 6 feet tall and averaging almost 250 pounds. Your size is Medium
Speed: Your base walking speed is 30 feet.
Draconic Ancestry You are distantly related to a particular kind of dragon. Choose a type of dragon from the below list; this determines the damage and area of your breath weapon, and the type of resistance you gain
Breath Weapon: You can use your action to exhale destructive energy. Your draconic ancestry determines the size, shape, and damage type of the exhalation. When you use your breath weapon, each creature in the area of the exhalation must make a saving throw, the type of which is determined by your draconic ancestry. The DC for this saving throw equals 8 + your Constitution modifier + your proficiency bonus. A creature takes 2d6 damage on a failed save, and half as much damage on a successful one. The damage increases to 3d6 at 6th level, 4d6 at 11th level, and 5d6 at 16th level. After you use your breath weapon, you can’t use it again until you complete a short or long rest.
Damage Resistance: You have resistance to the damage type associated with your draconic ancestry.
Languages: You can read, speak, and write Common and Draconic

Dragonborn's first names are usually given at birth by the parents. Masculine examples: Tancred, Hincmar, Ceadwalla, Ewias, or Ulfbehrt
Unisex names
Non gender name examples: Widmund, Winfirth, Feleogild, Heahfrith, or Graham
Family names
Family names typically come from the name of the dragon that hatched them, making tracking lineages much easier. When two dragonborn marry, they take the name of the higher ranking dragon according to legends. Most of the same kind know which was more powerful, but it becomes more difficult when dragonborns of different ancestries marry. In such a case, they typically pick the older or more powerful type if they know, or the name of the larger clan size if they don't. Example clan names might be: Mythbarakiaza, Tinath, Frasienrath, Quzzunth, or Soitheilth
Culture
Culture and cultural heritage
Dragonborn can chase their linage back to the early days of intelligent races to when Dragons and other large creatures were most common. Giants were common hunters of dragons as they would compete over territory and land. Dragons didn't like to gather in large groups, being rather solitary, so instead wanted followers within their territory that were of no threat to them, but could be a defense against giants. Dragons began to use their inherent magic and power to create dragonborn out of their own eggs to fight giants.
The decrease in giant numbers and the benefit of smaller races is what lead to the increase in Goliath numbers as well. This decrease in giants and mega flora and fauna, might have created the opening for Naga to take over and build their empire. Dragons were the first to oppose the Naga Empire, but found their own territories and didn't compete for the control of cities and urban areas. With the breaking of the world and the fall of the Naga Empire, Dragonborn had been pushed out developed their own nation and their lineages began to mix. Most Dragonborn now are brownish in color with faint colored speckles. Because of their proud history as defenders of dragons, many retain strong ancestry maps and charts to know exactly which dragon created their linage, which often relates to their family name.
Traditionalists among the Dragonborn communities tend to revere dragons as ancestors, and praise the elderly for a stronger bloodline and stronger ties. Younger Dragonborn have grown to rebel against the reverence of dragons and their ancestors, feeling slighted that the younger generations are seen as "muddied."
As much as dragonborn may still despise goliaths and giants, their isolation doesn't put them in frequent contact. However, their home of Oleani is near Nakahina, home of the Naga which creates frequent wars, skirmishes, and battles.

Common Etiquette rules
Because age and bloodline is considered highly important to their culture, they have a wide number of honorifics used to refer to each other. Not using these honorifics is considered quite rude. When it comes to outsiders, however, dragonborn use the title Walha. Outsiders are expected to use the term Wyrm and to not use it is considered disrespectful. Despite the number of dragons having greatly diminished over time, some dragonborn will dedicate their lives in service to a dragon as a paladin. To do so is a great honor and often raises the status of a clan. Many "muddy" dragonborn clans will expect their children to take oaths and service to dragons to elevate their status, but unfortunately does not always end well for the Paladin. In such cases, the families line is ended. Making it a great risk. Dragonborn consider Kobolds to be the lesser of dragon driviateves, barely related to them at all. Being compared to a kobold is often cause for a duel. They have also made use of kobold slaves and servants within their society.
Common Dress code
Dragonborn enjoy simple clothing of patterned wool and other sturdy fabrics, often plaid and wrapped around themselves, often in colors that are complementary to their scale color. They don't use a lot of jewelry, or ornamentation. Wearing any time of dragon scale would be an ultimate taboo and source of great disgust among dragonborn, much akin to a human wearing leather made of skin.
Art & Architecture
The architecture of the dragonborn varies per area of Oleani. However settlements are bit around a keep or castle made out of the red stone of the Scarlet Mountains. These shiny almost reddish castles have given rise to the name "blood towers" or "Fire halls" to foreigners. Some of the more wealthy settlements closer to the mountains will have entire cities carved out of the red rock in beautiful citadels. While some of the more distant forested settlements will have a single simple keep with wooden homes and palisades. Dragonborn of strong lineages will often decorate their homes or keeps with iconography and materials related to their ancestry. For example, Draken, the capital of Oleani, is home to House Zudenierth. Their castle is made of bright red rock with a gold plated dome that looks over the city. House Dyghod uses silver accents, brightly silvered armor and weapons among elite guards. House Kathyd is probably most unique in that its keep was the only one not built in redstone, and instead with imported marble to give it a shining white appearance like a Gemstone in a sea of red mountains.
Common Customs, traditions and rituals
Most dragonborn require high protein diets of raw meats. However different clans have developed their own preferences and style of cooking, dependent on their ancestry. Some enjoy large amounts of fish, while others prefer frozen meats. Some variations of red have developed ways of searing the outside layer, but leaving the interior raw. Some blacks have found ways to age their meat till its an almost rotted flavor. Though many will share different methods especially out of hospitality, different ancestries have natural preferences and encourage those preferences as a way of honoring ancestors. Lower classes tend to have more basic ways of eating, with less variation in flavors.
Birth & Baptismal Rites
Eggs are usually laid in the temple of a settlement and incubated there and cared for by the priest. Parents will often visit, but usually its the duty of priests and the like to care for eggs. Once they begin to hatch, family is notified and its usually a great event where all extended family come to the church and watch the hatching of a dragonborn. Priests usually perform ceremonies of protection and well wishing. The remains of the eggshells are dried and crushed and given to the family where they will spread it around their home as a magic circle of protection to prevent illnesses or ill will. The god worshiped is usually Shen Ra, the time dragon. He is believed to be the wisest of all dragons, and grew to godhood with his vast intelligence. Many dragonborn believe it was he that gifted the dragons the knowledge to make dragonborn.
Coming of Age Rites
When a dragonborn reaches adulthood, they generally enter their "great molt" which is their first molt while in adulthood, and when their scale color is revealed. Generally children are shades of inconspicuous brown, as to not draw a lot of attention. But when they reach a certain age they will shed off the brown scales and reveal their true scale colors. For lower class individuals, this is a time of great hope because if a child molts into a vibrant pure color, that would increase the status of the family. This is also a hope for future generations if members have been sent in service to dragons. For upper class this this generally a time of reestablishment of their great line, and affirmation of their status. If a child were to be born without the vibrancy expected of them, it would mean great dishonor for their family. This immense pressure does cause a lot of tension between younger and older generations.
Funerary and Memorial customs
Dragonborn who die are typically burned within the temple during a rite of the priests. Each temple has an ever burning flame called the "Eternal Embers," and it is this fire that is used in the pyre. many dragonborn believe it was dragons who gifted mortals fire, not In, and that In grew jealous of the dragons gifting their power and thus scattered the dragons making them all different colors and using different powers. That first flame of the dragons is the "Eternal Embers."
Common Taboos
Wearing any form of dragon hide or scales would be extremely disrespectful if not outright disgusting to a dragonborn. The idea of dragon slaying or killing of any dragon is unthinkable to a dragonborn. Additionally, any form of body art or tattooing that covers their scales is dishonorable.
Common Myths and Legends
Many dragonborn believe that the first dragons were all the russet color of the Scarlet Mountains of Oleani. But when they gifted mortals flame, In, the primordial god of fire, grew angry as this was a power of gods. In then scattered dragons all over, making them different colors and calling upon the other primordial gods of Spri, Aqui, and Tre to make them have different breath weapons. Now that there were so many different types of dragons, and they were scattered and changed, they often began to fight with each other. This made it difficult for them fight the giants and their numbers began to dwindle. It was then that the wisest and greatest of them all, Shen Ra, learned of how to make Dragonborn. Dragons made dragonborn to guard their homelands, fight against goliaths, and maintain their culture. Dragonborn worship Shen Ra for their creation, and maintain the "Eternal Ember" as the first flame.
Ideals
Beauty Ideals
Bloodlines are very important to most dragons, therefore the more distinct and vibrant ones coloration is, the more attractive they tend to be to their people. Two distinct colors might be unique but not as popular as a single obvious color. More than two is considered "muddy." Size is also considered attractive. Taller dragonborn are usually considered more desirable, especially among males. Females tend to grow extremely vibrant during mating seasons which is of course when they are considered to be the most attractive or beautiful.
Gender Ideals
Though it can be difficult for most outsiders to recognize a male from female (aside from when a female is in their mating season), dragonborn can always tell immediately because of natural pheromones that only they can smell. This also has a lot to do with finding a partner as pheromones of more genetically different individuals will smell better, as a natural way of increasing diversity. What people look for in gender tends to be strong warrior males and wise, intelligent females. Females are the decision makers most often and leaders, while men are the ones that put thoughts and ideas into action. These roles can be fairly rigid in dragonborn societies.
Courtship Ideals
Most dragonborn will hope to find partner that smells nice, and has good coloration. When they find that person, courting tends to involve frequent dates. Females might "date" several men at once, weight options and decisions, and men are often encouraged to duel each other to prove dominance and strength. In the end the female makes the decision. Afterwards, they stay partners for life, often refusing to take a new partner if one dies. They are not a sexual culture and mate only during mating seasons.
Relationship Ideals
Most men are expected to be strong and protective of his family, caring for all the physical labors of a house and home, while women generally make decisions, handle money and trade and care for eggs or children. Many women hold political positions
