Vual “Hunger and Thirst” Character in Ferracora | World Anvil

Vual “Hunger and Thirst”

The Prince of the House of Tritons is the symbol of basic needs, malnourishment, and anorexia   “Welcome to my banquet. It’s nothing sort of fancy, but it’s filling. I can hear your appetite has grown when you come. Eat much because we have plenty, from vegetables, tunas, and neighbor’s calf. Don’t stop, keep eating, I can’t let a guest be malnourish, right? Since we are the same, hunger is what we are.”

APPEARANCE

Vual usually appears as a wrinkled old humanoid with dry brown skin and holes all over his body. He doesn’t have a neck, and his head is directly connected to the thorax and abdomen, with his belly bloating like ascites (sometimes feels like a bullfrog?). His arms and legs are thin. He usually walks by dragging his body, like a handicapped person asking for help/begging (sometimes crying). When he sees a target, he will start walking or even jumping (like a frog) to the target, devouring it. His mouth can stretch out indefinitely, and his teeth are like a leech, but he rarely eats the victim whole (usually consumed slowly). After he finishes eating, he will let out a “Fwuah” voice (which resembles his name). During and after eating, one can see smoke or gas from his holes, which is very hot and contains toxins. His diet ranges from metal, flesh, or soul. In his true form, he will grow enormous, and his arms will grow large, but his legs remain (usually drags them). In addition, his mouth becomes much larger, and his body becomes a short, blob, caterpillar-like creature. Three tongues with mouth and teeth (like flytrap) will appear from his mouth as he constantly opens his mouth. The tongue absorbs manna, water (humidity), and air from around him. His basic movement is either crawling or jumping toward his target (faster than lightspeed). In addition to his usual excretions from the holes, he also excretes “juice” and water, which give an appetite to the tormented souls or daemons that consume it (never drink any water in Daemonica!).

SERVANTS

A. Anorexia

A very tall and thin red humanoid with a tall cranium like a log without a neck. The creature has a habit of screaming and closing its eyes with its hands. Flames come from its mouth, and it tramples everything in its path. When attacked, this creature will scream and use one of its hands to crush the instigator with a very quick and powerful blow. Agitated enough, it will vomit a sea of Hellfire. When took a lot of damage, it will call upon its counterpart (Binge), which will come at high speed like a bullrush.

B. Binge

A shorter but giant obese blue humanoid with giant legs and disproportional arms, also a round head with a bull neck. It has a large mouth and is always hostile, trying to chomp everything in its path. Its behaviors are more destructive than “Anorexia”, with constant object throwing and jumping randomly. When it has eaten enough, it will vomit a black ball with very high density and use it as a throwing object. Unlike “Anorexia”, no Scavengers is going near the “Binge” due to its hostility.

C. Hungry Scavengers

Tormented souls with partial flesh and a bulging stomach like malnutrition, carrying a sickle or farm tools and a basket with holes. They are usually found near “Anorexia” or Vual. While around “Anorexia”, they tend to more calmer and eat the scraps from the remnant of the destruction it caused. While around Vual, they become hostile even to each other, possibly due to Vual’s power. One can identify the most eater with their flesh more intact than the others, but at the same time, those flesh become a target to other Scavengers.

D. Thirsty Scavengers

Like the Hungry-variant, this variant has baggy and dry skin like malnutrition, carrying a clay pot with cracks. They walk slouch with the sweaty body, emitting mist around its body. They are only found near Vual, drinking his fluid and sometimes fighting with each other or any nearby person. One can identify the most drinker with their personality as more aggressive than the others.

ABILITY

- Grand Banquet: he stretches his mouth as big as he wants and eats everything in his path (even multiverse is easy). If he wanted to torture someone (an appetite for suffering), he would eat the victim slowly. His jaw is so strong that to escape his bite is by amputate the victim’s body part. Unfortunately, the portion he ate will be cursed, and that part can’t be regrown.   - The Bless of Cornucopia: he excretes any residues from his food and turns them into gas (mostly steam), water, toxins, and juice. The steam is very hot (hotter than the sun), which melts any bones and fleshes. The toxins usually residue from the food’s poison or venom, which he converts into a different toxin (or antidote). While water and juice can cause hallucinations and increase appetite beyond imagination, leading the victim goes a frenzy and eats anything (even trying to eat Vual or drink more).   - Glup Power: his overall stats (and appearance) are enhanced as long as he has a food supply. His increments depend on the food number and caloric value. After the food runs out, he will eat any valuable things (from calories to item value) to keep this power going.   - Bitter Aftertaste: he will vomit at any food/water source. The vomit will disperse without a trace and start an infectious “plague”. The vomit will reduce the appetite, remove ability to smell/taste, and provoke constant indigestion each time he/she eats/drinks. This will continues for a very long time (can be forever) and lead to dehydration and malnutrition.   - Hunger Frenzy: if Vual doesn’t eat or he uses all his food supply for some time, he will go frenzy and uncontrollably eat anything in his path (including his offeree). His skin becomes reddish and jumps everywhere. His attack becomes extremely powerful and harder to read. He will lose all his teeth and suck everything like a black hole. If he goes frenzy in his true form, he will proceed to the next step after a while.   - Full Belly: after some time, he will stop and face up. His tongue will come out from the mouth and sucks everything. During this period, he suddenly grows bigger very fast, and his body becomes transparent with a black core (growing). Finally, he will explode in the size of galaxies (least) or even more extensive than the big bang (the size depends on everything it eats) and then implode before returning to his form. Thus he can repeat this power indefinitely.   - Origin Weapon: his object isn’t a weapon (like Legion), but instead, a sack of infinite foods. This is used to control his power instead of powering him up. He also likes to use this as bait. Due to this, when their Origin weapons are confiscated, his weapon becomes a debate among the angels. Unfortunately, since it is used only as an emergency brake, the food mostly tastes stale (and appears standard).

CONTRACT

A. Avatar Contract

Its contract depends on the person's problem, which is considered greedy, gluttonous, or envious. The cost for the contract will be the offeree’s food supply. The food will be bound to Vual, so it will be consumed despite its location. When the offeree runs out of food in the middle of the agreement, he will eat his valuables (Vual never specifies this part), and this ends with the offeree’s life (which ends the contract).

B. Mini-Vil Contract

Vual flew low due to its size, with its stomach constantly rumbling. His body has a set of jaws, always open and closed, to absorb nutrition from the surrounding. He has a tendency to venture by himself or ask for food. While in this form, his powers are hard to control due to constant salivating and emitting gas and sweat. His personality is also problematic since he is quite lazy and only works for food/water. “Grand Banquet” and “The Bless of Cornucopia” remain the same, while the “Glup Power” effect can be transmitted to the user. But for “Bitter Aftertaste”, the power is entirely diminished that his vomit is only effective on a small body of water or a few foods.
