Forneus “Prison and Restriction” Character in Ferracora | World Anvil

Forneus “Prison and Restriction”

The Prince of the House of Barghest is the symbol of restrictions and the sky.   “The sky screams and the stars run, hiding as the terror of the sky passes. All life beneath him bows down and prays for their mercy. Above him, only ashes remain, as they are burnt and bound to the world as no one is allowed to climb the sky higher than him.”

APPEARANCE

In his normal form, he is a humanoid with ribcages hiding his face, dark grey skin, and six wings with an eye each. From each hand, he has an eye, and his wings are formed from muscles enveloped with carapaces. In this form, he is unable to fly. But in his sky form, he becomes gigantic with his wings expanded and grows another pair, also having more eyes each. He grows a tail with an axehead, a couple of horns, and his body is covered with metal-like armor and ribcages. And in this form, he is able to fly and shows true terror. Known as the Ruler of Sky in Daemonica, when in his true form, he grows absolutely enormous that can cover the sun. His wings merge into wide and large pectoral fins (bilateral), with arms in each segment of his body, while his legs turn into a long tail (like a stingray combined with a flying fish and an eel). From his fins, his eyes protrude and look below while the remaining eyes are on his back. His cephalic part becomes a large faceless head, with a closed mouth and eyes with a large upper part of the human body on the top of the head. Instead of scales, his body is covered with ribcages. Due to his enormous size, his kingdom lies on the top of his front body (ends on the man's back).

SERVANTS

A. The Warden

Act as the second-in-command, but truly it is only one of the Fishermen who is possessed by Forneus and envelops him/her with black tar and eyes. He/she acts as his intermediary, especially for communicating with visitors.

B. The Fishermen

Most of his residents, that responsible for catching runaway souls and watching over any trespasser below. They are armed with fishing poles, nets, harpoons, et cetera to catch any runaways. After they catch it, they will tie it to a weight to throw it back or torture it by hanging it on the ribcage. They also have boats that they rarely use unless for chasing a runaway.

C. Wasp Eyelyfish

Floating transparent jellyfish-like creatures with a mouth on their hood and an eye on the place where their mouth should be. Its tentacles have stingers like a wasp. This creature is not only able to catch and electrocute any runaways but also acts as a reflective mirror for Forneus eyes.

ABILITY

- The Watcher: his eyes will lock to multiple objects and can follow and process all movements, including predicting the next moves. Unfortunately, these eyes are blind proof. In addition, reflecting objects are considered dangerous since reflection count as under watch.   - Prisoners Lockdown: his eyes lock onto anything and turn red to lock the objects in place (even freeze on air). Forneus attacks still come through but with a delay until the lock is released. An eye for a large object or a single living being. With his infinity, the eyes can split infinitely.   - Reflecting Eye-fection: his eyes will appear on other objects or creatures that he locks in place. While this power activates, his eyes absorb the “infected” existential force. This spread isn’t limited to under-watch but also things he touched.   - Detention!: his eyes will emit light (like a spotlight), while under this light, the affected will be restrained with conditions attached. Violating a restraining order can break someone's heart (turn you to stone).   - Origin Weapon: a gigantic heavy battleaxe with giant eyes. Forneus can transmit his power to the axe and cover it with black tar and eyes. The weapon also is able to explode on command or create a wave of explosions. When Forneus isn’t holding his axe, the eyes still work and act as extra eyes.

CONTRACT

A. Avatar Contract

Its contract depends on the person's problem, usually about personal justice or power. The cost for the contract will shorten the offeree's life (damned his/her life to it) or immediately take the offeree's life (as the offeree's life will increase its power).

B. Mini-Vil Contract

Forneus floats with his six pairs of wings. His body is more elongated, and the eyes scatter all over his body. A couple of spines protrude from the back, and an eye replaces his mouth (interchangeable). In this form, the “Prisoners Lockdown” is limited (since he can’t split eyes), and “Reflecting Eye-fection” is limited only to a couple of touched objects prior (unable to create eyes on a victim). The user can use “Detention!” only when the mouth becomes the eye; the user must speak the rules before lighting the spotlight, and only for one target. The user also increased mostly its constitution and wisdom.
