Camio “Gambling” Character in Ferracora | World Anvil

Camio “Gambling”

The Prince of the House of Lynoes is the symbol of debt, probability, and possibility.   “A coin is flipped, is it a head or tail? A die has been cast, is it four or six? In this house of gambling, we only have two rules. First, respect the fair dealer. Second, respect the outcome. Do you win or do you lose? The devil is always fair when the payment is due.”

APPEARANCE

Camio is usually found in his human form, a gentleman with dark-brown skin and dark curly hair (some face tattoos). A laid-back daemon wearing an overlength shirt, a leather vest, and a gun with its holster. He usually plays in gambling facilities across the worlds, playing with probability and possibility. With messy hair and face also constant smoking while playing, he can be tempted to reveal himself when playing an interesting game. Besides playing, he likes to settle debts by playing a game of probability until the debtors ruin themselves. And due to his nature, he is likely to activate his power after correctly guessing (usually using a coin or die). Despite his random and laid-back nature, he is a calculating man and tactician.   In his true form, he is still like his human form, with the exception there is glitch-like smog on the part of his face and body. The smog constantly appears and disappears in different places, except the smog on his face feels like a smile, and one of his eyes becomes yellow. From his back, a dense smog surrounds him like eight pairs of wings that resemble “The Canine of Shadow”. Poker cards float, circling him, and he holds a pair of dice. During this moment, one has to be careful; any words that come out of the mouth are counted as games of probabilities.

SERVANTS

A. Debt Collector

His trusty advisors, who bring the list of debtors, follow him anywhere (at least one of them). Despite that, they are also very powerful beings (with versatile arsenals) and sometimes work alone. The debts aren’t only for the one connected to Camio but all demons. Hence, Camio is responsible for watching over the contracts.

B. Gunsmith and High Robbers

Camio’s main henchmen and bandits are like cowboys with guns as their primary weapons (and torture devices). Their work is to constantly attack and rob the tormented souls endlessly. They usually ride a demonic stallion with a bag pulled across the road. They also like to play games; hence to gain their temporary favors, one must beat their game.

C. Blackcat Dealer

They are usually found in gambling dens wearing leather vests and hats with black smog as their faces. Other than the usual dealer stuff, they are also debt collectors. But unlike the “Debt Collector”, they never leave Daemonica. All his dealers are legitimate dealers who never cheat.

D. The Canine of Shadow

Hound-like creatures made of shadow and hellfire. They work as guardians, hunters, or Caimo’s summons. Their size depends on Caimo’s probability, chasing the target like a fireball. Different from other demons, they are revived by Caimo, instead of respawning in Daemonica. When attacked, they are capable of splitting and or exploding at will. In addition, their teeth contain a death curse at a random probability.

ABILITY

- Devil Playground//Game of Probability: when he activates this game, any effects will increase x amount times, depending on the probability and risk. Such as, if a regular human use a single bullet in a six-chamber gun, then the likelihood is 1/6 (with no spin hence if he succeeds, his shot will be 6x stronger. The power constant can be changed according to the value and effect. Such as, if that same person does Russian roulette (life at stake) between him and the opponent (with a likelihood 1/3), but you’re weaker than the opponent (1/2 the size), then the difference will be included in the results of the odds (1/3*1/2). Normally, each successful action will return the odds to 1. Despite his fairness, Caimo can manipulate and monopoly the value and effect.   - Hellway Roulette: using his six-shooter. Spins and shoots each time; the shot will be stronger each spin (1/6*1/6*…, or if failed 5/6*5/6*…). So even if the shot misses, the next one will be stronger.   - The Pots are Mine: he puts a single blank, spins, and shoots continuously. After that, he shoots a target to deduce their odds. He can monopolize this to increase his attack power by decreasing his odds.   - All Cards Dealt: using any probability-based objects (cards, coins, etc), he can pile up his odds and transfer them to his weapon. The piled-up can be stored in different “banks”. For each randomization, both parties must know the result.   - Devil’s Dead Debt: in true form, he summons his Canine (in larger size) infinitely to attack the target. His Canine can be affected by “All Cards Dealt”.   - Royal Flush: is his most hated power in true form since it can change the nature of odds and possibilities around him (like a World Magic). Anything the opponent tries to do or talks about has a probability chance and multiple possible outcomes, which can affect anything the opponent will do or transfer to other actions. He can also make a counter of his probability without changing the piled-up odds. Such as, he has a 0,00015% odds of shooting, but by using a second piled-up odds, he can increase the odds.   - Origin Weapon: a revolver (starts as a six-shooter) with the capability to increase its chamber each time he succeeds, thus can increase the power limitless. This weapon is also capable of duplicating itself. His gun is already strong enough to destroy planets without even using his power.

CONTRACT

A. Avatar Contract

Camio will take several people that have met the offeree prior (even looking at his/her face or has heard his/her name), as the collaterals. Since his powers are probability games, the people will become a hidden variable if the offeree misses. Each hidden miss will cost a random person life (he will hide the number), and when the collaterals are ran out, the final hidden miss will the offeree’s life.

B. Mini-Vil Contract

Camio will have a cube body like a six-sided die, and his wings don’t connect directly to his body (more like floating die). The number one will have a mouth instead. On top of the die is a small top hat. He flies with his body spinning, stopping when the user uses its power. In this form, his powers are limited to “Devil Playground//Game of Probability”, “Hellway Roulette”, “All Cards Dealt”, and one Canine summon at a time. His power can be transmitted to the user or used the hat to shoot an energy ball (limited power). Due to his power increase, weapons have a chance of disintegrating (depending on the durability to hold his power).
