Surroundings & Relationships

To the west of Iglonnia lies the turbulent Veric Ocean; to the east, the Rakloro Sea (and the island Ina'ban to the north, Hatine; and to the south, Omis.

Regions & Communities

The western coast of Iglonnia is dominated by the impressive Varothum Shield Mountains.
The river valley of River Cilor, which springs from the mountains just surrounding Itha-iglonn, is the elves' breadbasket and their link to the travel opportunities of the sea. By carefully-written treaty with Omis, their southern claim to territory extends to the border of this valley (not just to the river itself).
To the north of the valley, the elves claim as Iglonnia all the sparsely populated land up to the slopes of the Ustuan Chain and Drach Bay. They claim that this land is important to them as a nature preserve, but cynics in other nations see it as pure territorialness, or as a buffer against military invasion from any northern entities.

Big City

The capital Itha-iglonn, which is so prominent in Iglonnia that they are sometimes referred to interchangeably, is an impressive monolith of stone, nestled in a high valley on the eastern side of the Varothum Shield, somewhat close to the nation's southern border.

Other Cities

Most of Iglonnia is sparsely populated. Nywir at the mouth of River Cilor is an important port, and the city of Elgalla further north on the Rakloro coast has also managed to thrive. These towns are sustained by trade and have much greater non-elven demographics (by percentage) than Itha-iglonn City.
