Foundation Day

History

Ciheim was founded a little more than a thousand years ago during the Second Era. It's first king, Oak, was much loved but his reign was brief. He was succeeded by his elder daughter Lilac. She instituted the first Foundation Day to mark the kingdom's 10th anniversary. It's been celebrated every year since then.

Execution

The celebrations are at their peak in Whitebridge. The royal family makes a public appearance.


Larger cities have parades. There are cook offs, fishing competitions, public musical performances, and all manner of athletic exhibitions. The day culminates in displays put on by local magi. They cast brilliant illusions against the night sky.
