Gray Finch, Skin Trader

Gray is the prestigious devil skin trader that travels between North and South Market, selling his proudly-tanned hides at half the price local dealers won't dare to haggle. Friendless besides an army of allied acquaintances--the Big Guns being one of them--Gray is routinely given ample room and bed to exchange his exclusive devil skins with local hunters and tradesmen, producing a sizeable amount of jealous merchants at the wayside. While most appreciate Mr. Finch's unusual ability for gathering skins, there are some who murmur of gruesome dealings behind closed doors.
"You seen him, right? That cross-eyed bastard? That's Gray Finch, and he'll kill you over a devil before you can even smell its shit."
Famed for his elite line of toughened devil-skin blazers, Gray declares himself as a man of the working cloth, a sincere advocate for hunters and their wily ilk and forever indebted to their cause. His most coveted skins are often sold exclusively to larger hunting parties--most notably to high-ranking Big Guns and various Whiteheads--and are rare to come by even in larger towns. Despite limiting his market, Gray notoriously makes a fortune from his profits and has accumulated a wealth many have attempted to swindle him out of.

The Skins

Devil skin, in recent years, has become a coveted trade item for hunters in No-Man's. Prized for its illustrious dexterity and near-bulletproof sturdiness, the hides of a devil can be sold at staggering prices and are readily acquired during hunting work. Before devil skin became recognized as a viable option for armor, Gray Finch was the first to begin trading and selling it as casual wear in an attempt to make easy money. Eventually, he began trading with the Big Guns, who had access to multiple devils at a time with which Gray could harvest more hides. After discovering the proficiency of devil skin as armor, it was an obvious choice for the Big Guns to create a steady trade with Gray, who in turn gained esteem and notoriety from such a powerful alliance.   Though most of his sales are done within Big Gun territory, the Whiteheads soon found interest in Gray's work and supplied him with larger devil's to skin, leading to further expand Gray's market across No-Man's. With his name and profession now held with the highest esteem, Gray spends his days traveling between North and South Market continuing to sell and gather devil skins to a growing number of hunters.

Rumors

Like any businessman, Gray is forever following the easiest, simplest way to make a quick dollar. Ruled by a law of ease and indifferent to the ongoings of No-Man's beyond his sphere of influence, there are plenty of rumors concerning Mr. Finch's moral compass--or lack thereof. Hiding behind the protective arms of the Big Guns, Gray is more or less unbothered by the whispers of common folk and even seems to enjoy the negative attention rumors draw toward him.   In a recent instance that roused anger even in the dormant leader of the Whiteheads, Mr. Finch was accused of selling a charred cowhide to a wandering hunter on the bend of North Market's riverbank. While there was never any proof procured for the accusation, others began speaking up concerning the durability of the hides they received from Mr. Finch, one man going so far as to test this theory by hanging one of Gray's skins out and shooting at it in front of a crowd. Unfortunately, he was trampled by a cattle herd not a month later after a fence came down, thus silencing any rumors from growing too large.
