The Sundered Wastes
The man rode down the road from Goldshire. As he made his way south, he noticed the lands starting to change. He made his horse stop and jumped down on the ground. Walking forward with the reins in his hand he scowled. Only five years ago had he fought here in the battle that changed everything, and now this. Life seemed to stop wanting to live here, plants died out, the river dried up and most animals fled into the forests up north. He took a deep sigh, jumped back on his horse and continued down south, he had a job to do.
Geography
Mostly plain grass with a few hills scattered through the landscape. It is the southernmost province of The Fenrian Empire . The grass and trees that are there are completely withered away or in the process of dying out. It used to be known as the most beautiful part of the Fenrian Empire, yet its glory is long forgotten.
There used to run a river through the area, yet that has dried out in the years since the The Sundering Battle Due to this, water is scarce in the Wastes. The higher up the Wastes you go, the more water will be available. Therefore villages like Alltrost have more water to use than Elleran in the south.
