Smoak
A small hamlet with a broken palisade. Population ~100, 40% human, 30% elf, 30% gnome. Between the borders of the Great Empire of Llanfar and kingdom of Rugard, Smoak has largely been left to its own devices when it comes to protecting themselves against animals, monsters, and bandits. Surrounded by farmland and overall self-sufficient, the hamlet behaves in some ways like an oversized homestead, dealing more in barter and favors than in coin. While the hamlet is mostly self-sufficient, they do still rely on merchants traveling across the border for raw materials like metals. A witch is said to live in the surrounding forest.
Recently, children have begun going missing from the hamlet. After finding one of the missing children in the company of the witch the denizens of the hamlet believe she is responsible and has either killed them in ritual sacrifice or eaten the others. The hamlet has posted a small bounty to the Order of the Hunt for the witch.
