Kress Nightwort
Kress Nightwort, also known under the alias Hessen, was the Drow paramour of the late Matron Vilethorn. The Ring & Wren found him chained to a wall in the ruins of the sewers below the city of Felstadt, with wounds suggesting he had been tortured.
The party decided to try and help him by freeing him of his bonds and offering him haven in their home. Hessen repaid that kindness with treachery by allowing Drow assassins and other enemies including Alazar Font into the party’s home as they slept, leading to the murders of Drayton King and Krux McClain.
Kress was in the Gloomspire when the Ring & Wren travelled there to rescue Jäger Ironbeard. The party saw him (via a spyglass) looking through their stolen items in the spire's library. It is unknown what became of him after Gloomspire's fall, but he is presumed to be still at large.
