Beholders are large, spheroid creature that levitate at all times. They have one great bulging eye that sits above a wide, toothy maw, while the smaller eyestalks that crown its body twist and turn to keep its foes in sight. Beware of these smaller eyes; they are said to be able to emit dangerous rays with various effects.
Most observed Beholders have an otherworldly disdain for those around them; a Beholder admires none but itself. Most have been recorded as aggressive, hateful, and greedy.
