Aerwynna Cannari
A daughter of wealthy merchants, Aerwynna “Wynna” Cannari was most recently a preeminent scholar at Felstadt University. She is currently an integral member of the Ring & Wren.
A human of average build and height, Wynna has a short, curly mop of black hair, freckles, and large round glasses. She wears heavy armor over her simple scholar’s robes, and favors the color blue. At her hip is a small dagger, and around her neck is an eye-shaped amulet inlaid with a mirror.
Burdened with an ancient relic of terrible power that must not fall into the wrong hands, Wynna's life’s work is dedicated to researching the strange things that happen in Felstadt and how they might be connected to the ancient ruins the city was built upon. She has devoted her life to the Goddess Enki Adda in the hopes that she can unlock some of the mysteries that possess her mind.
Personal History
Wynna attended Felstadt University and earned several degrees in archeology, anthropology, and ancient arcana. Her research focused on the ancient civilizations that inhabited the bay of Felstadt, thousands of years before the city was established; the famous Rona, who were wiped out by a terrible pestilence and whose architectural influence can still be seen in the older buildings and foundations of the city, and the fabled Kellan, a mysterious race of humans said to be descendants of fey. While leading a research excursion into the ruins under the city, Wynna found a shrine to the Kellan goddess Enki Adda, and in her eye, an ancient relic. Removing the amulet from its holy resting place triggered a number of traps, killing her research assistants and wounding her. However, once Wynna donned the amulet, all her wounds were miraculously healed, and her mind was flooded with visions of the past, present and future, sent to her by the Goddess. From that moment on, Wynna has been obsessed with finding out more about the Kellan. She found that she gained magical powers from the amulet, and an unbreakable connection to Enki Adda. As her obsession grew, her university funding waned. Thought to be no more than a fairy tale, the Kellan were not considered an academically sound field of study. And with the stain of the deaths of her research assistants on her record, Wynna was no longer considered an academically sound scholar. With her parents encouraging her to let academia go and find a good husband, and her personal funds running low, Wynna sought to join the Ring & Wren -- they seemed to be at the center of all things strange in Feldstadt, and life as an adventurer had some appeal to her…theoretically.Ring & Wren

Personality Quirks
There’s nothing Wynna likes more than a good mystery or conspiracy. A sardonic know-it-all, Wynna is clever, intensely curious, and obsessive. Wynna believes strongly that nothing should fetter the infinite possibility inherent in all existence. Everything is connected, and it is only through the pursuit of knowledge that can we begin to see the connections. Any unknown is a mystery that she can crack. Wynna is easily distracted by the promise of information. While most people would scream and run when they see a demon, she would stop and takes notes on its anatomy. To her, unlocking an ancient mystery is worth the price of any single life. In addition, she speaks without really thinking through her words, invariably insulting others.
