The Underways
The Underways stretch far below the continent and form what is essentially an entire continent below it. It contains large caverns and underground cities forged together by tunnels and pathways constructed by the Dwarfs. It's uncertain how long the Underways have existed, or what exactly is down there, but there are those that are attempting to map it. Whilst some of the cities extend above the surface, some are so deep underground that non-Underway races have ever set their eyes upon them. There are also entrances to the Underway littered throughout the continent, with the Scorched Lands being the most abundant.
It's unknown whether the Dwarven societies of the Underways act as a singular unit for many separate entities but there does seem to be some form of trade and discussion between them. There are other races that live amongst them, and some that do not surface and thus haven't been recorded in the annuls of the Athame University. Society as a whole is hard to gauge, and changes in different parts of the Underways just like the regions above them. One thing is known, Titan's influence does not seem to stretch below their lands, and those born in the Underways are often unaffected.
The flora and fauna is also largely undiscovered, but is known to be deadly. Critters smaller than your hand to hulking beasts that tower over a house all reside within the dark depths below the continent. Many who explore too deep in the Underways never return...
