Nikaron

Government

Nikaron is ruled by a council consisting of the leader of each Ozuk hierarchy: The military Commander, the alchemical Palatine, the arcane Archmage, the mercantile Tradelord, and the industrial High Foreman.

Defences

Nikaron is defended by both it's people and location. The city is nestled between a large mountain range and the southern ocean, with the only land passage being a thick forest, constantly patrolled by the people of Nikaron.

Industry & Trade

The most important trades of Nikaron are alchemical based, selling their potions and poisons all over Fayegarde. They also sell their technology, including gunpowder and mass-manufactured weapons, and will frequently sell themselves are mercenaries.

Infrastructure

The city of Nikaron has some of the most advanced technology on Fayegarde, with alchemy, infinite fire, gunpowder and rudimentary electricity.

Guilds and Factions

As with all Ozuk cities, Nikaron is divided into 5 major groups: The military, the alchemical laboratories, the arcane schools, the mercantile traders and the industrial factories and farms. Though each group governs it's own members, individuals may join more than one, and may work with others freely.

History

Founded by a wandering group of humans led by an Alchemist, Ozar Nikar. The group learned of a type of alchemical flame which burnt on air alone, able to stay lit indefinitely, proving to be a great resource to protect their fledgling camp, soon expanding into a full city, Nikaron.

Architecture

The buildings of Nikaron are often very square, made of stone and dark wood. Every residential building has a small crest on the front door belonging to the head of the household, incorporating symbols representing any groups they are part of and any personal achievements. Each building is lit by lanterns containing ever-burning flames, able to change colour or brightness with minimal effort.

Geography

The mountains from the north-west often overshadow Nikaron, though the residents welcome the protection from the elements. The sea to the south is very calm, making it perfect for fishing and trade, and the woods to the east are rich with game, though as of late there have been rumours of darker things within the trees, only appearing under the moonlight.

Natural Resources

The trees to the east provide ample building material for the people of Nikaron, and the mountains are rich with raw stone and iron for the use of weaponry and machinery for the technologically minded Ozuk people.
