The Sword of Leric is a ceremonial sword associated with the cultural and historical traditions of Favont. Initially designed for combat, it now serves a symbolic role during ceremonies. Appearance
The sword features a bronze hilt detailed with Favont's symbols, set with rubies and sapphires to add colour. Its iron blade is also adorned with these gemstones embedded in gold filigree. The combination of metals and jewels contributes to the sword's distinguished appearance.
History
King Leric I, also known as the Dispeler, originally used the sword with a simpler design in his conquests, including a significant victory over Raan Ritaan, the Dragon King. The sword's design evolved through the ages, reflecting changes in monarchy preferences and societal values. After a period of simplicity following The Chamberlain Uprising, the Reynaudic Era returned the sword to its embellished form, symbolising the monarchy and the commitment to the Astraen faith.
