Backstory

Her family was an older magus family, being a family which started in the late 1500 - early 1600’s. Their desire was to obtain the power to destroy anything that stood in their way, and over various generations, they obtained the Mystic Eyes of Annihilation. Refining their bloodline to inherit these eyes genetically or receive them from a previous holder. At first it began with a slower melting than what Selene currently has, though it was controllable, then as it ramped up in speed of how much and fast it could tear through, it became more and more uncontrollable, only able to be restrained by restraining the ability to open their eyes. To date Selene has the most powerful of her entire bloodline. When she was born it was apparent that she had the abilities, burning away quite a bit of her nursery. Though she quickly received the sealing blindfold so as to not destroy too much. The Clocktower took a bit of an interest in her with how much stronger her eyes were compared to her current living family. Her grandmother’s activated while inputting mana, and took a minute to get through just a few inches. Her father could get through a door in about 40-50 seconds, activating in the same way. Hers rotted through everything that she opened her eyes to see in mere moments, whether she wished to or not. Though it was technically the strongest of her bloodline, being the literal strongest, and most mana efficient(seeing as she can always keep it active.) It also lacked the ability to be switched off.
Besides being essentially blind, she was a relatively normal magus child. Doing normal magus child things, learning how to run the family, politics, finances, their family’s destructive magecraft, etc. Her life was honestly quite uneventful, her eyes were only unsealed enough time to be counted by the fingers on one hand. All by her father in order to learn how to control it in a very very controlled environment. They researched her eyes from time to time, the effects it has on things. Interestingly enough, when things deteriorate, it can change the method of deterioration depending on what she envisions, if she imagines something rotting away it will rot away, if something just breaks apart, it will do so in that manner, if something’s melting away, it will do so. Luckily damage to the body of any living thing done can to an extent be healed as it doesn’t prevent healing though it will most definitely hurt the same as if it were deteriorating at the same rate.
Her upbringing was relatively lavish, the Clock Tower funded them a decent amount to keep up their work on perfecting the mystic eyes. To raise the level of destructive capabilities, raise the efficiency, and make it so it only activates when the wielder wishes it in order to turn it into something of a super weapon. Which they very well were on track with doing with how Selene’s eyes turned out
After finishing her education at home, she was sent to the Clock Tower to study under Trambellio for the duration of the time she needed to before moving onto Modern Magecraft Theory and Individual Fundimentals.(Her family’s a part of the neutral faction.) She was in the upper percentile of the students in both departments. While she does study still from time to time, she’s been transferred to AEGIS for the time being in order to deal with the Servant problems, both her degrees are on pause for the time being as to do her job.

Desire It doesn’t really do anything for her yet,she just likes to do whatever she wishes to do. If she ever ends up awakening it, her mystic eyes will finally melt anything she desires rather than just anything.

Magecrafts

Mystic Eyes of Annihilation

The condensation of her family’s magecraft turned into mystic eyes. Partly a failure since it was uncontrollable, though perhaps in future generations the problems they encountered would be amended.
Her mystic eyes rapidly deteriorate anything she looks at, be it magecraft, plantlife, sentient life, etc.(It melts things at a consistent rate, never faster or slower. She can burn through average doors in around 10-20 seconds or so. Though can be accelerated through the use of her family’s magic crest by x1.5) Due to these mystic eyes, she also receives frequent headaches. It doesn’t harm herself, so her eyes are fine when she closes them or if she looks herself over, though anything else she looks at isn’t so fine.
She’s proficient at fighting with her sword and manuvoring around whilst blindfolded.(Her hearing is just good)
She is able to do basic elemental manipulation though it’s nothing particularly reliable other than to commit arson. Very flashy arson, but mostly just arson. She can also hover in the air a bit with her magecraft though it drains her to do it for too long.

Estrella Family Magic Crest

It raises mana efficiency of the user as well as enhances their control and power output. It can also be used to accelerate self healing. In appearance it wraps around the back of the neck, up and goes to the region under the eye as well as the outer portions of the face beside the eyes.

Personality

She’s generally a graceful, peaceful, and quiet person. Though underneath she’s a possessive person who doesn’t generally like letting go of what she has. She’s a very free spirit, enjoying not dealing with the things others had to deal with, though she’s relatively knowledgable on various topics with her learning to be the heir to her family. She isn’t like many other magi, she can and will use technology. Not for important stuff, though just to fit in with normal society a bit more.

Sealing Blindfold

The blindfold that restrains her mystic eyes, she’s unable to remove them though can move it around so she can clean under it. The cloth can be flushed with mana to automatically clean itself. It also allows her eyes to receive enough energy from the sun as to not weaken from the lack of light recieved. The blindfold can only be removed by one of the 12 Lords of the Clock Tower, someone of equivalent power, or whoever is the head of the family(currently her father). While her mystic eyes could decay the blindfold in a matter of moments, its method of restraining her mystic eyes is to prevent them from opening in general.
These cannot be transferred to anyone outside of their bloodline as it can and will destroy them too. It can’t even be transferred to people too far removed from the wielder, grandparent to grandchild is the furthest that can be transferred in 1 transfer.

Estrella Family Sword Cane

The head of the family generally utilizes a blade of sorts, as of the last 4 generations, the family head has used a cane that can magically enhance and morph into a wood sword with a triggerable reinforcement/sharpening effect funded by the weilder’s mana.
