Backstory

Liam’s family can trace themselves back to a little before the vikings arrived in Ireland, they were once druids who mastered stealth and concealment to avoid being killed on numerous accounts. Liam’s family also suffers from a curse that’s been around since the 1000s according to family legend, a curse that just reduces their general presence all because one guy angered a fae. In the modern era the curse is diluted and the concealment is broken should Liam announce himself or the other person is overly perceptive. Liam himself is a bit estranged from his family since he opted to combine magecraft with modern technology while his family is a bit traditional, not wanting to deviate from their roots more than they have to. He’s said to have exceptional circuits as a result of his lineage but lack physical build as a result of his chosen path, however he is skilled with a bow out of necessity.
He travels the world, hoping to learn new things and better his progress past what it’s already reached, while not affiliated with Atlas, he does want to see magecraft and technology merge in hopes to better society as a whole.

His family has been around for a while, dating back to the age of viking exploration at minimum. They are known to be a bit old school and picky when it comes to marrying and having children, striving for the best possible circuits. Magical Circuit Volume: A

Liam has many circuits, part of this is due to the fact he currently possesses his family’s Magic Crest.

Magecraft

Conversion

This deals with negative energy, as Liam and his family deal with it regularly, they’ve figured out how to channel and/or divert negative energy with some assistance from mystic codes. Liam is noted to practice both purification and amplification with the help of his Converter.

Earth

One of Liam’s affinities, he can manipulate Earth to a moderate degree for a magus, mostly for stealth purposes, but the primary function is the filtration of negative energy which can be used to amplify the benefits of his own curse while limiting the demerits.

Ether

Mostly used for amplifying what he already knows in terms of allowing for a bit more versatility.

Tremorsense

A skill he and his family have harnessed over generations for the purpose of detection. This is tied to his Earth element and allows him to sense things via vibrations from the ground or anything connected to the ground, like trees of light poles, so long as he is making physical contact. Liam has stated it works better if you had poor vision.

Personality

Liam doesn’t care for conflict but he’s not opposed to calling someone out if it’s necessary. He’s inventive and comes off as tired but friendly to strangers or anyone meeting him for the first time. He tends to try to think outside the box, which makes him come off as weird to some people.

Mystic Codes

Converter

An item that kind of resembles a gauntlet after being successfully remodeled to reduce complications of overheating. Liam uses this to assist in the act of converting negative energy into something usable in the form of a blast channeled through the device, or diverting negative energy away from himself. The diversion aspect can work if another person has the device but the conversion aspect is specific to Liam. Too many consecutive high charge blasts can damage the device, so he’s mindful of using that feature.

Competition Bow

A highgrade modern longbow that Liam is trained with, combined with tremorsense, he’s very good at hunting ground based creatures and has impressive aim. He usually keeps it in his suitcase.

Suitcase

It resembles a regular suitcase but it holds more than you think. Liam has never stored more than a hundred pounds of stuff in here.

Glasses

He wears them so normal people just assume they help him see, but in reality they have no function outside of appearance.
