Backstory
Jon’s family originated from Egypt during the Age of Gods when Hermes Trismegistus first created the Hermetica; and was some of its earliest students. In particular, they focus on studying the “The three parts of the wisdom of the whole universe”, to try and reach the Root. Near the tail end of the Age of Gods, the family split into three different branches, which represent the three studies of the “The three parts of the wisdom of the whole universe” within the Hermetica. Each branch primarily studies one of the three aspects, while keeping the practice of the other two intact; as one can not work without the others. Jon’s branch of the family primarily studies the aspect of “Theurgy”, and currently have made America their home. They came to America to learn of Shamanism from the Native American, in hopes of enhancing their own craft of Theurgy. And in the many years of alliances, marriages and trade to those native to the lands, they were given access to their form of Magecraft. Which has allowed the currently named Williams family to further their understanding with Theurgy.Magus Abilities

- N/A
Strengths:
- He is a very Jack-Of-All-Trades style of magus, as he has different tools and spells he has at his disposal to help him in any situation.
- To back up his magecraft is a firm understanding of martial arts and different arms, so if his casting ever failed or was negated, he wouldn’t be entirely helpless.
- Jon has an extraordinarily high level of mana regeneration, that it's possible to fire off multiple high level spells for 15 minutes straight.
Weaknesses:
- His Jack-Of-All-Trades style of magecraft is also a weakness, as he may have the tools to answer whatever is thrown at him, he will never be as good as others who specialize in these situations.
- Jon has shit mana control; nuff said.
- Jon won’t call upon multiple deities at once, due to the fact he doesn’t believe he could handle such an act of high-level magecraft on a physical or spiritual level.

Martial Arts
Jon’s understanding and practice of martial arts and arms stems from Okichitaw, with aspects of other martials forms added in.Magic Crest
Jon also possesses his family’s Magic Crest, which assists him with his magecraft. This Crest is one of three pieces to the original Magic Crest used by Jon’s family before they split into three branches during the tail end of the Age of Gods. This means it only retains the magecraft of the family heads after the split; as the secrets of the original Crest have been sealed away as a safety measure.Origin: Gates
Due to Jon’s family having a long history of contacting and contracting spirits, he has been born with a Origin relating to this. As a magus, he acts as a gateway between the worlds of the physical and spiritual as a magus. This lets Jon have a natural affinity for a gate's properties and functions in both the literal and abstract.Sorcery Trait: Prayer
Jon and his family also hold the sorcery trait of prayer. This makes it easier to contact spirits of higher beings, or use magecraft systems related to or based in prayer and religion: such as their use of Kabbalah, Theurgy and Shamanism.Magecraft
Magecraft Jon’s family magecraft is known as Hermeticism, which is a composite magecraft system featuring Alchemy, Astrology and Theurgy as its primary foundation. With other forms of magecraft mixed in as well, such as sealing, healing and Kabbalah. Theurgy is making contracts with the presence of one or more deities, through which achieves henosis (uniting with the divine) and perfecting oneself. This grants a broad range of powers that emulates the deity or deities in question, without the losing one’s self and retaining full control. After studying Shamanism, the family’s knowledge became more refined and let them gain a broader spectrum of spirits to contract. Theurgy originally gave Jon two different sources of magecraft. The first is magecraft reliant upon an alliance with an Evil Spirit (i.e, demons). The second is magecraft reliant upon an alliance with Divine Spirits (i.e., angels, archangels, gods). With the addition of Native American Shamanism, it's possible to call upon what the Williams call Earthly Spirits (i.e nature spirits, animal spirits, Fey, human spirits, etc.). Its possible for Jon to call upon a single deity at a time and emulate their powers for as long as the connection stays, with his Magic Crest assisting this. But he must make a stable connection to the deity in question first, before calling upon them and emulating their abilities. Even then, a god can refuse to grant him their powers. As well as Chief Gods being out of his reach entirely. With his Shamanism, if Jon was able to contract any of the listed spirits as familiars and keep a stable contract with them, it would be possible to emulate their powers without the use of Theurgy. And with Theurgy paired with Shamanism in this way, it would be possible to do it with multiple spirits. Yet this hasn’t been tested by Jon, due his hesitancy of connecting with multiple spirits.Personality
Jon is a very relaxed person, is generally sarcastic as well, and isn't one to respond to violence as a first response, but isn’t unwilling to use it if needed. Though if provoked in some way that strikes a nerve, he won’t hesitate to swing first. He also always sounds like he just got out of bed, or is tired in general. This is due to his workaholic attitude towards his projects.
