Personal history
A feudal lord during the Warring States era. The eldest son of Takeda Nobutora, Kai's governor at the time, he was named Harunobu. The name Shingen as he is commonly known as, is his legal name. He expelled his father Nobutora whom he was on bad terms with to Suruga & took over the clan. He then invaded Shinano, beat the crap out of them, & conquered the province. After that, he fought Uesugi Kenshin of Echigo many times in Kawanakajima. Not much came out of those skirmishes, so he changed his target to the Imagawa clan who had erected some kind of salt embargo against him. After Imagawa Yoshimoto was killed at Okehazama, he invaded Suruga which was now in turmoil, & established the Takeda clan's golden age. He also led his forces to the west & beat the absolute crap out of Oda Nobunaga & Tokugawa Ieyasu's combined forces at Mikatagahara, inflicting a lifelong trauma on Ieyasu. He then invaded Mikawa, but fell ill & died in the middle of his campaign, unable to achieve his goal. "Let's plant our flag in Seta..."
Accomplishments & Achievements
Shingen was one of the most powerful daimyo of the late Sengoku period, & credited with exceptional military prestige. Shingen was based in a poor area with little arable land & no access to the sea, but he became one of Japan's leading daimyo. His skills are highly esteemed & on par with Mōri Motonari.
Mental Trauma
Due to his precocity, Harunobu had a miserable childhood because all the people in his vicinity looked like idiots to him. He even viewed his father Nobutora as an idiot. His father tried to distance himself from Harunobu & make his younger brother his heir, but Harunobu concluded that Kai would perish if things continued at this rate. He ended up expelling his father & becoming Kai's feudal lord.

Vices & Personality flaws
Shingen is overly proud & confident in himself. This is reflected in his arrogant fighting style where he will not use both hands in battle unless he deems the person worthy of being his opponent. In the past he was ruthless, not caring about anything but victory, but as he grew older & fought with people more personally he became kinder.
