'Camille, is my favourite shirt still in the laundry? I can't find it anywhere!'
'Your shirt is clean and dry, but I've already prepared your clothes for tomorrow. They are on your chair,' Though she was in another room, Camille did not raise her voice and answered calmly while cutting some peppers for dinner.
'Why would I wear anything else than my favourite shirt on my first day of school? Especially something as boring as that,' Morgan exclaimed, pointing to the neatly folded pile of clothes in her bedroom chair.
Camille looked up, sighed, and made her way to Morgan's room. 'That is your school uniform. Remember when we went to Basilford a few weeks ago to get your measurements? This is why we needed them. All students will be required to wear one of those, including on their first day.'
Zuri, who happened to overhear the last part of Camille's words, grinned. 'Of course, we could still call it off, dear. We could easily find you a new private tutor, it would be no effort at all.'
'Mom!' Morgan said dramatically. 'Not the point! Also, you agreed that i could go to an actual high school. It's a little late to take that back!'
'Alright, alright,' Zuri said.
