Country: Concordia

This campaign is set in the country Concordia. It is an emerging country of varying hilly, mountainous, or forrested landscapes, surrounded by the jungle that emerged in the Fey Fall. It took this apocalyptic event to unite a warring region into one industrious and still expanding unit.

Constitutional republic

Before the Fey Fall, this area was a scattering of small kingdoms and empires with ever changing borders. After the Fey Fall, the community grew more diverse and more tolerant. Hereditary leadership based on might or claimed divine right no longer fit their needs and desires. Instead, a constitution was drafted. Every four years, a new leader was elected, a president at the head of a few ministers they could select themselves. All their proposed actions and legislations would be passed by the Assembly of Factioneers, each member representing an equal portion of the population.

Expansion

Ever since the founding of Concordia, the expansion of its borders has been a central pillar of society and industry. Concordians have gained expertise in reclaiming the jungle. They gained new resources and created safe routes through and around the unpredictable wilderness, to quickly establish themselves as a formidable force in the continental economy.

Co-existence

With all the previous lands practically reset to wilderness, citizens of Concordia had to find ways of cooperating with nature. Rather than razing it all to the ground and replacing it, the chaotic fey nature was tamed just enough to allow intermittent agriculture, industry, and residence. National parks were appointed where specifically rich and diverse areas were to be preserved and valued.

Opportunity

Concordia has become known as a country of opportunity. Traders and craftsmen have always been in high demand, and with each new reclamed province comes the promise of dreams being fulfilled and business being expanded. Additionally, Concordia allowed for any sentient to find a place to belong, while gathering a rich mixture of cultures in the bigger cities.
