Alvaro, Shadow of the Everlight

The Everlight Guild has seen a few guildmaster's since it's origin, all of them lauded for their deeds. The goliath guildmaster Lavoy Loweye stepped down in 236 after joining the Guardians of the Sacred Flame to help protect the shifters of the Umsitu tribes in the War of Flames. He passed down the title to his adopted son. Back then, he went by the identity of Aran, a black dragonborn. However, while he himself attempted to keep his true identity secret for several decades longer, nearly all of the inner circle and even some people beyond it would come to realize that Aran was actually a young black dragon.

Hatched to the name Alvaro, he was raised by Lavoy to value adventurous virtues and to care for members of the guild, citizens of Herofjord, and anyone else he considered in his charge. In fear of being shunned by Concordians or even other guild members, they attempted to hide the truth from others, failing spectacularly. Alvaro first revealed himself in his draconic form when the Guardians of the Sacred Flame threatened to forcefully conscript the free citizens of Herofjord. He protected the city by fending off the approaching batallion before it could even reach the walls. After this, Alvaro was dubbed the Shadow of the Everlight, and the Guild was left in peace.

Alvaro was feared by many, but made enough allies to remain a prominent figure in Concordia. Over the decades he proved time and again that he was a reasonable opponent, a reliable ally, and an excellent leader. He protected Saint Seraphine, one of the Paragons of Pariah, on her pilgrimage to the lake. When she took ill and died before reaching her artefact, he escorted the artefact along with her retinue back to Port Libera to find the next matriarch. He oversaw the construction of the Loweye Dam and the expansion of Herofjord to house thousands of refugees. In the Second Condordian-Grezan War, he called together a war council of Concordia's most influential factions, which had before then seen much conflict. Time and again he refused the position of governor to the Herofjord province, instead preferring to remain guildmaster to the Everlight guild, and later headmaster to the Everlight Academy. He has protected and provided for his guild well, and remains its stalwart leader to this day.
