(Event) Sack of Moresby

The sack of Moresby occured in 489 AQ when a Gith army, lead by Aos the Prophet, rampaged through the city and stole a fleet of Farran ships.
The Gith invasion force had entered Farrah from the mountains was was marching westward. Lord Lancaster raised an army at Moresby, garrisoning the well fortified city. The Gith army turned away from Moresby and began razing other towns and putting Farrans to the sword. The Haunted Atoner (LA), a cleric in Moresby, advocated for sending the Farran Army out to protect these villages. He believed that the Gith were not targeting Moresby and they were needlessly allowing their citizens to perish. Lord Lancaster agreed, and the Farrans set a large portion of their army out of Moresby.
When the Farran Army marched out, the Gith lured them away and then slipped around toward Moresby. With only a small garrison still at the city, the Gith took the walls swiftly. They went throughout the city, burning and killing. The Farran army, Razors and Harpers all fought together on the streets of Moresby against the Gith. Two orphan friends, the Abandoned Guardian (MD) and the Scarred Survivor (KG) were present at the sack. They were rescued by a Razor and a Harper respectively, and survived the Gith assault.
The Gith took the fleet at Moresby, killing the Farran sailors, and sailed away from the ruined city. The Farran army returned from its fruitless pursuit to find the city aflame.
